TGIF!

Yup Thank God it's Friday. Why thank Him? Well He's the one who gives me strength, He's my light, He's the source of all things.mrgreen

I'm thankful for the wonderful friends I have.

I'm thankful for my great co-worker The Passionate One (TPO), she rocks.

I'm thankful for TFB and SW

I'm thankful for the job I have, for a roof over my head and 3 meals a day.

I'm thankful for being healthy

I'm thankful for having God in my life

I'm thankful for being the strong woman I am today, I'm thankful because I went through hell and actually survived and I am happy.

I'm thankful for being alive...

I'm thankful for all of this and more....

Are you thankful for something? Believer or not, it doesn't matter. I have friends who don't believe in a God but still are thankful. What are you thankful for?

On the topic of last night, I am in a pretty foul mood, that's why I decided to do a TGIF entry, so that would change my mood and lighten my spirit. It worked. biggrin

What a freaking evening!

I had such a fucking evening, my PAC meeting sucked. You are surprised uh? sad I'm posting a sad face because I hate how these meetings are making me feel. I hate to be a bitch and I hate to be stucked in someone's passive aggressive behaviors.mad

I can't believe how hurt I feel after a meeting that is chaotic and negative. I'm like a freaking sponge. it's like it all gets into me.

What hurts me the most is that people who claim to follow Jesus Christ and preach that The Parish should be a community of "Warm welcome, Celebration and forgiveness" yeah cool words but what the heck do they mean for people who are the one making trouble inside of The Parish? What do these words mean when they aren't followed? How is that not complete and utter hypocrisy?

There's few rotten apples, the majority are good people. Like AF, TYP, TFB and SW and many of those that make the world a better place by being there.

I need to let go, I can only control and change Me, I can't expect anyone to follow my beliefs because they aren't me. Annoying Liturgy lady drove me bonkers tonight and I played her games. mad

On another topic, more positive, the printing project was approved!!! Hurray for us! Anyway, tomorrow is Friday and the beginning of a long weekend! mrgreen

A little more on Annoying Liturgy Lady...

lol I was thinking this afternoon and evening while at church that anyone who knows me in real life and that lives in The Parish would know who I was speaking of, this made ma laugh and realise that annoying lady was aggravating many people not just me. lol Yup, I was thinking that if TFB, SW or TYP were reading this, they would instantly know who little Annoying Liturgy Lady is. mrgreen

Guess who came by the church tonight and was surprised not to find me alone and was shocked that I had a ride home? Yup, He came over. Honest to God, I'm not interested and it creeps me out. If he's back for the same reason, don't worry he'll get a couldn't be more direct message of totally NON existent interest.

What's up with men huh? I'll talk to SW about it. wink Maybe she's going to have an answer for me. lol Oh and tomorrow night, there's a meeting of the PAC. Oh my God! It's going to be long and will make me want to drink. lol

Some people alive only because it's illegal to kill ..

I'm soo angry, I want to slap someone. evil There's a member of the liturgy committee that is a real PITA. (Pain In The Ass)

She's stubborn and always persists on doing what SHE believes is the right thing. She could care less about anyone's opinion unless they are saying what SHE is saying. She's always freaking frustrated, she's a mean gossiper and if she decides that she's going to whatever she thinks because she's freaking stubborn. She's a real bitch really annoying.

What did she do today? She one more time went against the wishes of the Parish Anniversary committee to do what she fucking wanted to do since we discussed this.

It had been strongly suggested to her many times that at the last mass to celebrate the parish anniversary, the altar service, the lectors and the Eucharist ministers should be done by the members of the Parish Anniversary Committee (PAC) . It seems fucking easy to understand huh???

Well, you'll be surprise to hear that she didn't listen and only did what she wanted to do.

But you know what? I'm going to fight her tomorrow night. I'm going to fight her for the principle. Honestly, it's not because she's taking something away from me because on that day, I'll be working with the cruiseships visitors. I'm fighting her because she's gotta be fought sometimes and because the people in the PAC deserve to be doing the service on that day.

I'm going to fight with all I have and believe me, I'm stubborn too. This is going to be terrible, the members of the PAC do NOT know yet that she once again ignored their demand. I say once again because you can imagine how hard it is to work with her? She's been doing crap like this for almost a year.

I'm glad she told me while on the phone because I would have slapped her face to face or would have had to refrain from slapping her. lol

TFB is on the PAC, I can't wait to tell him what she did. Speaking of which I need to give SW a call, haven't heard from them since the weekend.

A Wednesday morning slice of life...

Guess who went to bed at 18h50 last night? Yup, you are right, I did. lol Guess I was tired huh?

I woke up after more than 11 hours of sleep, in a good mood, ready for the rest of the week. mrgreen I love my new hairdo, my hairdresser is not only talented but very sweet and funny.

So, does anyone have a slice of life story to share with me this morning?

The morning coffee routine

I'm a routine type of person, I swear I'm not against change but if I feel comfortable in something and satisfied, there's no way I'll change it.

There's a new girl at the office, she's been replacing someone for her maternity leave. She's very sweet. We have developed a morning coffee routine.

Every morning, I make coffee and then pass by her office ( except yesterday when I forgot) to let her know that the coffee's ready and we go to the kitchen to pour ourselves a cup. mrgreen

This morning I'm yawning, I'm soo sleepy, it's not even funny. But the coffee's strong and good and it's helping me not to go lay on a bed and snooze... Yeah, The Parish office are in the rectory, there are rooms with beds...

I have an appointment with my hair dresser after work... Oh, I'm soo sleepy! confused

Talk to you later! mrgreen

Claude Poirier offers to negotiate for Cedrika's safe return

I love this man, he's an honest and caring man. He proved in the past how he could be trusted. Follow this link

Veteran Quebec crime reporter Claude Poirier has offered to maintain the 24-hour phone line for the parents at 514-730-3940.

"If we receive precise information, I will be responsible for keeping the person anonymous," he said. "No one will ever know who received this money. What is important is to get the little girl back."

He emphasized that the Quebec police force is not involved in either the phone line or the reward money.

Calls to the phone will not be recorded, Poirier said.

"If I am told to meet someone, I will not be followed," he added.

If there's anything, if you have Cedrika with you, if you know who took her, please call Claude Poirier at 1(514) 730-3940.

God, I can't take this anymore, it's been three weeks, can you imagine her family's anguish? cryThis beautiful little girl needs to celebrate her 10th birthday with her family.

What the heck? AKA Miss Teen South Carolina's infamous answer

Check this link and the video, this is totally priceless and flabbergasting.

What the heck was she thinking of? Honestly? This is the infamous link. Her answer absolutely makes no sense.

The question she was asked:

"Why a fifth of Americans can't find the United States on a world map?"

Her answer: lol

"I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because, uh, some ... people out there in our nation don't have maps, and, uh, I believe that our education like such as South African, and, uh, the Iraq everywhere like, such as and ... I believe that they should, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., er, should help South Africa and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries, so we will be able to build up our future for our children."

Monday Morning rambling

It's Monday morning and I'm at work which is totally cool. I'm kinda sleepy but I shall survive. lol

Yesterday afternoon, with the maintenance person and a friend ( he's very tall) we went to church to try to get old fabric banners on the church's ceiling.

Ceiling is about 50 foot from the floor, my friend had to go in the attic, it was a real mess. It did NOT work because someone had cut the banners without asking anyone. rolleyes We tried to hang them but they were about 4 feet too short. So we will tell people they are invisible, but there. mrgreen We did laugh our ass off.

Picture me in the church's sanctuary, the friend in the attic, 50 + foot higher. The way we keept in touch? duh!!! cell phones! lol yup, the connection was very clear. That was pretty amazing. The old banners won't be back. Unfortunately, because we aren't able to make miracle happen, this isn't going to be possible. We wanted to do it for the Parish anniversary and because we are going to welcome cruiseships passengers soon. But whatever!

Saturday I went to mass because I needed to speak with the Parish Priest who's cell phone was shut, but I was able to get a hold of him at church. Not my parish but whatever, I had to speak with him for work business. smile Same day, I rented 2 movies, Shooter and Fracture and both of them were very very good.

I've gotta get back to work. I will write later!!!!

Thank God it's finally over

The day is over, the week is over. Wow. Just Wow. surprised

I survived, I even had fun, I worked hard and did NOT kill anyone. Kudos to me eh? lol

Honestly, the more people I meet, the more I enjoy my friends and my cat's presence. I'm absolutely amazed at the reaction of total strangers or acquaintance, if they had lived at The Mother's house, they would have been grounded and spanked. And learned how far words word like P-L-E-A-S-E and T-H-A-N-K-S can take you.Yes, crazy bitch at Retal Store, I'm speaking of you.

So, I worked, shopped at The Mall in Bigger City with my friend the Psych nurse and The Seminarian, we ate there and played board and dice games all evening and tried a Wii.

I'll post more tomorrow, it's late and I'm sleepy!!!! mrgreen

Belated Wednesday funny

At church yesterday, around 17h00. I'm chit chatting with the man who was hired to fix the church's wooden door. He's very nice, quite chatty but always appropriate, in the past weeks he was telling me about his dating situation. (he's divorced, looking, women he meets are kinda freaking him out)

Him: That's very sad that you are twenty something, because I would date you, we'd make an awesome couple, too bad there's more than twenty years of age difference eh? He's in his 50s

Me: Hmm confused Too bad I don't find you attractive eh? Too bad you wait a week to make love and I believe in waiting until solid commitment :::thinks::: Too bad I want to get married in the church and you are divorced and not interested in marriage. Yeah, you are right it's too bad huh?

H: It's too much of an age difference for you?

M: If I was attracted to you and felt you were the one, age wouldn't matter, but right now, age is one thing among soo many others. Yeah, that's too much of an age difference for me.

I was nice, I really filtered what I needed to say instead of what I could have said. My answers could have hurt his feelings and I didn't wanted that, so it's all good. mrgreen

This is very flattering but just not what I'm looking for. smile

News from The Ex-Boyfriend

Remember him? Well anyway, he called tonight. rolleyes True to himself, he hasn't changed a bit. Am I surprised? Not at all.

I'd be a bitch to post all the itsy bitsy details of our 10 minutes conversation but lets just say I rushed into emailing TFB and SW about it. I figured since I made the choice not to let the world know how he really is to respect his privacy. I still had to vent somewhere. mrgreen

He's not a bad man at all, honest to God, he's a good, honest man, hard worker. He just has a lot of some issues.

Anyway, I'm pooped, it's pass freaking 23h00 and I'm not in bed. Tomorrow is soo going to be a long day!

God, help me! If anyone is interested, my friend's daughter needs some prayers. She has some trouble with her boyfriend and is heartbroken. You know how teens are eh? lol Poor sweetie, she's in my thoughts and prayers.

The dreaded "it's almost 15h00" down

Why am I always having a down around 15h00? lol I'm sleepy as hell and I can't focus. I crave a cigarette I need some fresh air or a coffee, but how much coffee is too much? I mean for a 24 hours period? I had what? 6 cups of coffee since 6h30 this morning?rolleyes

anyway, what is up with always needing a nap around 15h00?
The Old Parishioner, a nice man who collects ancient objects will visit me at church around dinner time. He's a very fun, interesting and respectful man. Oh jeez, I can't believe I'm working late. blech

At 16h00, I'll stop by the retirement home to visit MsDM's friend, grab a coffee at The Coffee Place and open the church and hopefully, have visitors. It's sunny, it's warm, it's a nice day to visit your church's exposition. mrgreen

Is anyone else having a down around 15h00?confused

SQ Believes Cedrika Is Still Alive

From this article:

The Surete du Quebec believes nine-year-old Cedrika Provencher is still alive, three weeks after being kidnapped. The detective in charge of the investigation tells the Journal de Montreal that credible witnesses have called saying they've seen her, adding police have nothing to suggest she's dead. A fourth little girl has come forward saying she too was approached by a man looking for a dog just before Cedrika disappeared. Her description has confirmed other information police have, helping them to target their man. They still have not revealed a composite sketch of their suspect, though.

I can't find a better article in English, all the recent ones with pictures are in french.

Cédrika Provencher
Born : August 29, 1997
Height : 152 cm - 5'
Weight : 32 kgs - 70 lbs.
Eyes : Brown
Hair : Brown (red highlights)
Age (at the time of disappearance) : 9 years old

Cédrika was last seen at the corner of Descheneaux and Chapais Street in Trois-Rivières by two women who said that she was looking for a small dog for an unknown person. She was last seen wearing a green sundress, a red bikini underneath her dress, green flip-flops, a blue and black lanyard of Star Academie with a red key and a white key (ladybug) and a black watch with a pink contour.

PS: I hope no one is getting annoyed at my constant blogging about Cedrika. This kid is missing, it's breaking my heart. It could be mine, it could be yours.cry
