Sad news...

I received an email from The Father asking me to call at home ASAP because something tragic had happen and they wanted to speak to me. I received the email this morning but to my home email and I was busy at work and wasn't able to check my home email before 15h00 today. The news was that one of my cousin (who was my age) got killed in a car accident in Western Canada very late Thursday night. sad

What's worse IMO is that this past June his father (my uncle) killed himself and now The Cousin dies and that leaves my poor aunt widow and having lost her only son. cry

Can you guys pray and think of my aunt and my family? My aunt is devastated, she hasn't slept yet and takes it hard. Everyone is affected and need strength and hope.

Thanks in advance! smile

I'm probably stuck up but this is ridiculous...

There's a show on the life channel here called "À deux c'est mieux", a psychologist specialized in couples does intervention with real life people.

I guess I'm stuck up because there is no way in hell I would ever go on television to talk about my marriage problem or in this specific case, my sexual issues.

What the fuck? The guy goes on TV because his sex life sucks because he's a 2 minute man, she won't make the first move! Hello???.....

This is television, what the hell are you doing discussing these intimate issues on television? I would never do such a thing. I'm all for therapy, help, discussing issues, just NOT on television. They are discussing these intimate things on freaking.

I'm just shocked, why are people like that? I know we're in 2007 , still, this exhibitionist mentality shocks me. Why is it okay for people, anyone to just not keep anything private? I'm a *TMI* girl, just with the right person. confused I believe boundaries, intimacy and privacy are important... Oh and just so you know, I don't need to know when watching a *regular* channel at 18h30 who ejaculates in a matter of second and who doesn't. I don't want to know these *TMI* details about freaking strangers. Eww!!!

I'm very open minded, I'm someone who shares, discuss issues. I don't hide in the sand but it puzzles me to see this mentality of putting for everyone to see the details of your privacy, intimacy is just unbelievably weird... Boundaries guys, boundaries!!!

They weren't speaking generally, they were on television discussing their sexual intimacy as a couple. I'm sure it's gonna help to put it where everyone will know. Make a lot of sense!

Would you go on television to discuss your sexual problems? Your marriage trouble? I wouldn't... Am I stuck up? Do you think it's a healthy thing to go on TV to discuss that type of issues? confused I'm puzzled by the television because in real life, I wouldn't mind discussing private stuff, to the right person but I'm just close to the mentality of showing everything on TV.

Let's discuss this, shall we? mrgreen

Guess who's the weirdo listening to Christmas music?

I am... I've been listening to Christmas music all afternoon!!! I'm such a weirdo!!! lol I'm addicted to a song Called "Noël à Jérusalem" or "Christmas at Jerusalem" by Mario Pelchat, a french Canadian singer... mrgreen

Anyway, I'm trying to get in a Christmas mood!!! I need to decorate my blog!!!! wink Talk to you all later!

Random stuff from from the weekend

Saturday night, 21h23 as I'm writing this, I'm on my couch in my jammies, cozy and relaxed.mrgreen I honestly couldn't wish for anything better. I've spend the evening last night at home, chilling, doing nothing except watch TV, be on the net and read. The week was good but tiresome (is that a word?) I finished my 5Th week at Big Multinational Company and I love it. I feel independent now and I still have plenty to learn but things couldn't be better because it's going well. Coworkers are nice, helpful, funny, we're a team. I love what I do and I'm good at it. wink My trainer is great (The Cute Friend), yeah, I'm working with a friend, and it is awesome.

So today I got up around 10h00, had breakfast then met with The Mother at The Mall in Bigger City. smile We had coffee, shopped, had a nice time. I had an appointment with the eye doctor at 15h00, it'd been close to 2 years since my last. The eye doctor was nice, I picked up new glasses and I can't wait to get the call to pick 'em up. This was a new clinic for me because my regular one wouldn't give me an appointment for evening or weekend in the next weeks. Screw that, I wanted one fast. So the new clinic will be mine as of today.

I bought O the Oprah Magazine for the first time, I hesitated between this one and People. lol

I got home for dinner and cooked for the next week, I'm very structured eh? lol Someone at work said he admired my structure and dedication to follow whatever I believe and it's true that I am a committed person to follow my goals. smile

For what it's worth, I realise that I have been less stressed in the past month that I was in the last year. This new job is really positive for me. I am not so tense and I have less symptoms of stress-related thingies. (acid reflux, stomach ache and other things) This is just great!!!

Next weekend is gonna be busy, on Saturday I have a Christmas party, my department at work is getting reunited at The Cute Friend's house for a dinner and an evening. On Sunday, it's the parishioner's annual meeting and the election for the church council. I'm running for the one of the position available (2 seats are available at the moment) and be the only woman on the council at the moment. It would be with TFB, AF, The Tall Friend, The Retiree and other great men that I've just never blogged about. Wish me luck !!!

So that's my weekend, I've got some plans for next week and I plan to visit my friends so get ready for my visit to your fantastic blogs!!! BTW is any of my reader wants me to link then in my blogroll, drop me a note and I'll add ya! mrgreen

Today's slice of life is about "letting go"!

Yeah, I'm making the most of my online time. mrgreen So here's a lot of information about letting go. Lemme know if it was useful, what you think, how you see the act of letting go!mrgreen

Letting go takes love, for ourselves. It takes time and most important, it takes patience.

From this link:

"What is Letting Go?"

To "let go" does not mean to stop caring. It means I can't do it for someone else.

To "let go" is not to cut myself off. It's the realization that I can't control another.

To "let go" is to admit powerlessness, which means the outcome is not in my hands.

To "let go" is not to try to change or blame another. It's to make the most of myself.

To "let go" is not to care for, but to care about.

To "let go" is not to fix, but to be supportive.

To "let go" is not to judge, but to allow another to be a human being.

To "let go" is not to be in the middle, arranging all the outcomes, but to allow others to affect their own destinies.

To "let go" is not to deny, but to accept.

To "let go" is not to nag, scold, or argue, but instead to search out my own shortcomings and correct them.

To "let go" is not to adjust everything to my desires, but to take each day as it comes and cherish myself in it.

To "let go" is not to regret the past, but to grow and live for the future.

To "let go" is to fear less and to love more.

— Author Unknown

I use to believe this 100% "I should be in control of everything that is important in my life."

Unfortunately you are powerless to control most people, places, and things in your life since you can only be fully in control of your internal locus of control and your own thoughts, emotions, and actions.

I now understand and accept this: My Internal Locus of Control:

Internal locus of control is giving yourself the power to influence your feelings about yourself.

Internal locus of control places self-approval, self-recognition, self-acceptance, self-reinforcement, and self-affirmation of worth into your own hands. In this way it is only up to you and your own efforts at self-love and care to feel worthwhile, valuable, competent, skillful, creative, knowledgeable, and capable of living your life for yourself and not controlled by others. You are then fully responsible for your own thinking, emotions, and actions in life.

Are you good at letting go? Are you able to let go when you are preoccupied? Letting go and doing 100% of what we can do is the key IMO... I remind myself daily to "Let go and Let God" mrgreen Letting go is accepting that I can't control everything... and it is true... It's not always a fun realisation but it's freaking life!!!! I control only what is really up to me. Do my best in everything, while remember what I can and what I can't do. What's on my shoulder and what shouldn't be... mrgreen

Good God guys? Are you following me? Comments, insults, questions!!!! confused

Thoughts on freedom and random stuff!

I was talking with a friend of mine on the phone when I got home from work I actually ate while on the phone... We were talking about freedom among other things. The freedom to be ourselves, the freedom of knowing who we are and knowing
what we want, what we are worth, what are deal breakers in our life.

Why do some people sell themselves short to others? Why are some people insecure to the point of staying in bad relationship? I'm talking about people around us who have been through a lot and didn't understand the lesson, didn't learn from their mistakes and keep on selling themselves short to others.

I would like to have someone in my life but not at any cost. No fucking way!!! My intimacy, my boundaries are important. I will never put someone else ahead of me, I did it, wasn't worth it. lemme tell you, it was a real disaster...

So, have you learned to respect and love yourself? Would you compromise yourself for some love or companionship? Are you willing to let someone walk all over you? I am not and I think it's a damn good thing. My freedom matters more than anything...My freedom of being myself, of being happy, of doing whatever the hell I want... smile

Life's not an easy road but it's a damn fine one. mrgreen On this, I had a great day at work, things were good, I hate Mondays because it's hard to get back in "working" mood after 2 days off but I survived. I always do.

I got very aggravated at the hair salon company that sold my hairdresser a flat iron this fall. The Piece Of Shit has never been working good, yesterday, it broke...confused I called my hair dresser this afternoon (she was sorry), she'll take it back next Monday and the company people will look at it and decide if it's my fault. I don't want an exchange, it is under warranty. I want the piece of shit gone and my money back. Hairdresser said they wouldn't reimburse and it would be long. I told her not to worry, I'll bring it back to her this week but meanwhile, I got a new one, a Gama one. It works great and it's going to give me what I want. If the hair salon company exchanges my old one for a new one, I'll take it and sell it. The POS was 80$, they didn't give it to me. So the new one cost over 130$ but at least it is working and if anything's wrong, I can deal with the store people directly. The hair salon doesn't deal with clients, they deal with hairdressers only.

WTF??? If I treated my clients like this company treated me, Big Multinational Company would fire me right away! They wouldn't keep someone who pisses off clients who pay for a product. Believe me, I won't even try it. The client is always right, even if he's wrong, he's right! Anyone who work for a in the public knows this and even more in a corporate environment, especially there.

Anyway, Miss No Nonsense girl, semi addicted to the computer said TFB on the phone tonight, he said he was joking , I'm not addicted but I do love the computer and Internet a whole freaking lot. mrgreen He's right on this!!! Anyway, I'm tired, I'm sleepy!!! I need to rest!!!

If any of you guys want to share about freedom and stuff, it'd be interesting!!!

PS: Sorry for the rambling thoughts...lol If you lived with me, it'd be worse! wink

Good stuff eh?

As you guys know, life's been treating me good. I couldn't wish for a better life, I've got great friends, a good job, I love myself, I'm at peace with the past, I enjoy everything. Life's just good.

I do lack time tho, the weekdays are long and I have only enough for me. It's a routine of getting up, working, coming home and getting ready for the next day, sleeping, then going back to work.mrgreen Except the nights I have plans. well duh!!!!

Last week I had a meeting with the church council, I take the notes, the secretary but it's actually just the note taker. Many of my friends are members of the council and I was asked "officially" this past week to join them and get elected at the parishioners meeting the first Sunday of December. I said yes, I wasn't sure at first because you know I'm very blunt and I dunno, I'd be happy to be a member and also the only woman of the council. wink These guys are great, most of them are my friends. I was touched and honoured by the request.

Anyway, I got the flu shot on Wednesday night, it was a pain in the ass to get an appointment, but I wanted to get it because I get sick easily, I've been getting the shot for the past 6 years I think and I wanted it. smile Anyone else getting the flu shot? It did kick my butt the next day, I felt like shit but I'm all better now.

So the week at work was great, busy, crazy busy but good. I would have tons of stories to tell you, I wish I could. But as of now, y'all can call me the B-Train girl. lol I should change my nickname to this. wink

Today, I got up a little before 10 am, which was surprising, cuz you know, I like to sleep late, I drank good coffee, worked on a document for the parish that The Friendly Boss (TFB) and I have been working on for 2 days. I wrote it, emailed it to him, he corrected it and I read his corrections this morning, added new stuff. We're a good team!!! So I did this, cleaned and did a bit of shredding of old papers. I had 2 boxes of old papers and TFB lend me his shredder to get rid of it I went with a friend to Bigger Town and we shopped. I needed many things at Walmart, went to my favorite store, dollar store, pharmacy and we went to mass at 16h00. mrgreen AF's son was doing his first holy communion and it was a great celebration.

Did I say we had our first snow storm yesterday? And that it went on for the whole freaking day today also? It's over now but it's cold. YUCK!!!!!

So I cooked this evening a bit, I need to finish tomorrow. My house is clean, I'm sitting in my new jammies from my favorite store. They are so comfy, good god!!!! I'm just good, on my couch, with the TV on while I blog. How can life be better that this? confused

How was your week? How's life been treating you? smile
