Psst guess what i'm doing tomorrow?

First an appt with my hairdresser, haven't been in 5 weeks, my haircut has grown and it's not very stylish. lol I'm just getting them cut and styled, not colored at all. it's too expensive to do regularly I scheduled my appointment for 1 PM. Then dinner; TYP and I will meet at The Restaurant because we have a Parish finances committee meeting in the evening. smile

I'm bringing my baby to the meeting in order to take the notes, it's easier to type it all then email everyone the minutes.

This mean I can still sleep in tomorrow. mrgreen Hurray! BTW today was the first time I received the full amount from my unemployment benefits. 2 weeks ago was a crappy, cut in 5 amount but today, the whole amount. Hurray!

Night girls and guys! cool

Stolen from Chaucerian girl

I visited Chaucerian girl and was inspired to steal her idea for a Meme today.

You Are Bare Feet

You are a true free spirit, and you can't be tied down.

Even wearing shoes can be a little too constraining for you at times!

You are very comfortable in your own skin.

You are one of the most real people around. You don't have anything to hide.

Open and accepting, you are willing to discuss or entertain almost any topic.

You are a very tolerant person. You are accepting and not judgmental.

You should live: Somewhere warm

You should work: At your own business, where you can set the rules

You Are Strawberry Ice Cream

A bit shy and sensitive, you are sweet to the core.

You often find yourself on the outside looking in.

Insightful and pensive, you really understand how the world works.

You are most compatible with chocolate chip ice cream.

You Are a Centaur

In general, you are a very cautious and reserved person.

However, you are also warm hearted, and you enjoy helping others in practical ways.

You are a great teacher, and you are really good at helping people get their lives in order.

You are very intuitive, and you go with your gut. You make good decisions easily.

You Are a Red Crayon

Your world is colored with bright, vivid, wild colors.

You have a deep, complex personality - and you are always expressing something about yourself.

Bold and dominant, you are a natural leader. You have an energy that is intense... and sometimes overwhelming.

Your reaction to everything tends to be strong. You are the master of love-hate relationships.

Your color wheel opposite is green. Green people are way too mellow to understand what drives your energy.

What Your Sleeping Position Says

You are calm and rational person with a good deal of balance in your life.

Friends consider you to be kind, caring, and truly loyal.

You are easy going and trusting. However, you are too sensible to fall for mind games.

Open to the world, you are not afraid to be yourself.

If you don't get enough sleep, you are: Able to cope

It's hard to sleep next to you because: You're a bed hog

Your Hair Should Be White

Classy, stylish, and eloquent.

You've got a way about you that floors everyone you meet.

I got the ISkin for my MacBook

I ordered an ISkin for my MacBook as of last Wednesday (From Apple's website) . They shipped it by Purolator an it got here this afternoon. (I paid for regular shipping, could take 6-14 days, it got here in 4 open days, that's just great) I'm kinda happy because it fits well but I didn't thought it was going to be that. I thought it was going to be some sort of giant condom for the whole keyboard and touch pad. But it isn't. I'm glad because it really fits each key. Typing with it is OK, I'll get adjusted soon I'm sure. It's going to protect my keyboard in case of a spillage of some type.

I wish an Apple representative would send me and stuff to try. Ya know, because I love their products. Hint, Hint. mrgreen And give them free publicity here on my blog.

Please, a girl's free to dream eh? smile I'm wondering if anyone is using one or has a keyboard protector?

Currently listening to...

"Come as you are" sang by a French singer called Emilie Simon. You can watch the video here. I like her version better than Nirvana's that make me wanna shoot myself. No kidding, I was a Nirvana fan back in my teen days but for god's sake, the songs are soo depressing and dark.

Come
As you are
As you were
As I want you to be
As a friend
As a friend
As a known memory
Take your time
Hurry up
The choice is your
Dont be late
Take a rest
As a friend
As a known memory
Memory ah
Memory ah
Memory ah

Come
Doused in mud
Cept in bleach
As I want you to be
As a trend
A a friend
As a known memory ah
Memory ah
Memory ah
Memory ah

And I swear
That I dont have a gun
No I dont have a gun
No I dont have a gun

Memory ah
Memory ah
Memory ah
Memory ah {dont have a gun}

And I swear
That I dont have a gun
No I dont have a gun
No I dont have a gun
No I dont have a gun
No I dont have a gun

Anyone like the song? Did ya watch my link?

I went to The Church tonight because The Young Priest (TYP) was doing a presentation of his pilgrimage to the Holy Land. He got back like 8 days ago. The pictures and videos were very interesting... Close to 60 people attended the evening where he gaves us the stories of what he saw and where he visited.

He brought me back a bracelet made of Olive Wood with a beautiful cross that says Jerusalem on it. (He gave it to me last Monday, but I'm showing you now) What ya think? Isn't that pretty?

I took picture for Posterity's sake. mrgreen That is my hand.

Just had a talk with The Cute Friend

I wanted to check on her and we chatted on the phone for a little while. I was watching Oprah's Big give and thought of her because she loves, loves Oprah. mrgreen I offered her to watch the monkeys if she and her beloved wanted some time outside of the home. I really love them and spending time with them is a blessing. It's also good to have a friend you trust to watch the kiddos.

I'm watching the show and enjoying it. I cooked and cleaned all freaking day. I scrubbed the bath tub, the bathroom, cleaned and tidied up my closet, did laundry. I'm a good housewife. wink The guys would be soo happy to hear me say it. lol They would agree I'm sure. I cook, clean, I'm a good baker, I'm caring, I'm smart etc, I'm just not submissive. lol I'm stubborn a rebel! mrgreen

Tagged by Chaucerian girl

Jehara tagged me but because the book I was reading was in French, I declined but now Chaucerian girl tagged me too for the same meme, so here Am I doing it. smile

You're supposed to grab the book nearest you, randomly open it and write the first five sentences.

The book nearest me is "Le goût du bonheur, Florent" by Marie Laberge .

I opened it to page 223 and here's 5 lines:

"Laissez-la entrer."

Le chagrin ne va pas bien à Marguerite Morin; elle a les yeux rouges et bouffis, la bouche triste et son rouge à lèvres a tendance a effiler. Comme toujours, la vue des bouches trop fardées lève le coeur d'Adélaïde. Elle reste à son bureau et elle fait asseoir sa visiteuse face à elle, sans l'inviter au coin salon.

A little samedi update

Samedi is Saturday in French. mrgreen I stayed home all morning and afternoon because I was waiting for a call from The sister who was at The Parent's home for the weekend but she was busy, shopping for her upcoming wedding so we weren't able to hook up for coffee BUT we talked on the phone.

The Young Priest knocked at my door around 17h10, I was shocked to see him early (he was suppose to pick me up around 18h10) but he needed to use my Internet connection and he showed me pictures from his trip In Holy Land. And we went to mass, he was the one celebrating it. I hadn't been to mass since Ash Wednesday (like a month ago) . It was alright, I lite up a votive candle for Vixen and for SW. The candle is burning on The Virgin Mary's altar (this picture was not taken today but the votive candle I lite was on this altar, it's beautiful?)

After mass, we stopped at the grocery store, I needed to buy some stuff because I had not much to eat at home. I bought veggies for a cabbage soup, meat I'll cook tomorrow and lots of diet coke, because it was on sale. Buy 2 /12 packs, get one free. mrgreen

I got home, unpacked the grocery, and started my cabbage soup. I had to cut all the veggies and finished the preparation and it started to cook. By the time I'm writing this, the soup is in the fridge ready to be eaten tomorrow. I had 1 2 bowls to taste it and make sure it was good and it's delicious.

I have already changed few clocks because we are switching time during the night.Remember to turn your clocks an hour ahead tonight if your area participates in Daylight Saving Time. It starts earlier now than it used to.

I need to sleep, I'm in a good mood. Tomorrow is going to be peaceful and I'll be cooking and cleaning.

How about you? smile

Stolen from The Gal Herself

I was reading One Gal's musings and found this and I stole her idea and did it. I'm quite impress, I'm usually very mature and adult, I only have issue with Power Trippin' people.

You Are 73% Grown Up, 27% Kid

Congratulations, you are definitely quite emotionally mature.

Although you have your moments of moodiness, you're usually stable and level headed.

Currently listening to

Memory by Barbara Streisand and it's freaking awesome. It's touching me deeply, it's like bringing me back to memory lane. But the good memory lane, not the "in the deep darkness one." lol

Barbra Streisand - Memory Lyrics

[From "Cats"]

Midnight
Not a sound from the pavement
Has the moon lost her memory
She is smiling alone
In the lamplight
The withered leaves collect at my feet
And the wind begins to moan
Memory, all alone in the moonlight
I can dream of the old days
Life was beautiful then
I remember the time I knew what happiness was
Let the memory live again
Every street lamp seems to beat
A fatalistic warning
Someone mutters and the street lamp sputters
Soon it will be morning
Daylight
I must wait for the sunrise
I must think of a new life and
I mustn't give in
When the dawn comes
Tonight will be a memory too
And a new day will begin
Burnt out ends of smoky days
The stale court smell of morning
A street lamp dies
Another night is over
Another day is dawning
Touch me,
It is so easy to leave me
All alone with the memory
Of my days in the sun
If you'll touch me,
You'll understand what happiness is
Look, a new day has begun...

Do you revisit memory lane sometimes? I know, I know, NNG, get your butt in bed, It's time to sleep. wink

Good grief, I feel like I'm a rebel

Cuz I'm not writing that often and it's not because I don't have time but I've been keeping myself busy with the books. I've also been trying to get out of the house and get up earlier in the morning to feel "normal" again. So I set the alarm in the morning for 9 am weekdays even if I don't have something to do.

I had a long talk with The Friendly Boss (TFB) last night and I need to work on something, I need to work on the way I react to a specific power trippin' person. I only control myself, I can't make the person change, it's just not realistic. I only have control over me. mrgreen The talk made me feel better, it was helpful, it was an eye opener. I'm going to use my intelligence and my strength to deal with Mr.Power Trippin' (MPT). I'm also going to work on all those little things we discussed and next time I've got to deal with MPT, I'll update you.smile Psst, I know I'm very vague but even if I have not much respect for MPT, I will not refer to him with a nick name that could make him identifiable.

I needed new shoes for this spring, school and everything and wasn't really willing to pay full price even for Hush Puppies. I got a great great deal on those just because they are from last season, I don't care, the new model looks almost the same. I love, love them. They'll be great everyday shoes and they're chic and cute.

I need to go grocery shopping tomorrow and it's freaking snowing again. Plus The Sister will call me tomorrow, she's at The Parent's house for the weekend, I hope we'll be able to have coffee together. I have not seen her since January 1st, she doesn't live in our area, she is far far away.

Hope you guys are doing good. Update me!

13 things I have been doing this week...

I know guys, another boring Thursday 13 but I'm just into self-centered T13. lol

1- Reading a Trilogy by Marie Laberge. My friend The Passionate One was telling me when we went out last Friday that I should read these 3 books. That it would keep me focus and interested instead of playing stupid games. lol I'm almost done with the third, they all had close to 600 pages. I started the first one Sunday.

2. Went to a meeting Monday for The Parish and we worked on a reform for the financing.

3. I had a meeting of the Church's council. We all went to AF's house because of a child care issue. The meeting was great, I was the secretary because our person left for a few months again. :::sigh::: I offered TFB to take that job for the next 3-4 months just cuz I'm nice. I'm a member of the church council and have done the note taking before. It's easy for me.

4. I spend all day in bed with my book and laptop. There was a huge snow storm here and I boycotted makeup and clothes (outside of jammies). lol

5. I went shopping with TTF on tuesday.

6. Someone made a move on me and I just totally was NOT interested. Being friends with benefits like having sex? With someone I barely know? Hell no!It's not that I am very religious or uptight, it's just that for me intimacy comes with trust, friendship, deep love. smile He's slowed down the calls and the emails. Wonder why eh? lol

7. We were in a meeting and I have a bit of a cold, my throat hurts, so I say out loud to TFB, and anyone else who was listening because we were at the table after the meeting "I have a hard time swallowing". He looks at me, smiles and giggles "Don't say it that way, it could confuse anyone who's listening." Duh! I was talking about swallowing my saliva because of the sore throat. He knew what I meant but he's right, it wasn't clear, what I was referring to.lol

8. During the Church's council meeting last night, I had a moment of anger and I was pissed off. The National Television is asking us to have them on a specific date in few months for the show "Le jour du Seigneur", the date wasn't very good with us because of wedding planned in the church but they were NOT flexible as to the time or anything. I got pissy and shouted" The hell with them!". eek If you'd seen The Parish's Priest's face when I said it. Then TFB gave me "The look" . lol I apologized tho and blushed. Open mouth, insert foot. Girly, calm down!.

9. I've been sending emails to my friend.

10. Wrote and mailed some cards.

11. Cuddled with Mr.Cat.

12. Played online games

13. Wrote this Thursday 13.

I am done!!!!! mrgreen

PS: On #8, TFB's "look" was a gentle way of telling me to shut up. He was right. mrgreen

It only takes a minute

Copied directly from Vixen's blog.

A favor to ask, it only takes a minute….

Please tell ten friends to tell ten today! The Breast Cancer site is having trouble getting enough people to click on their site daily to meet their quota of donating at least one free mammogram a day to an underprivileged woman. It takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on ‘donating a mammogram’ for free (pink window in the middle).

This doesn’t cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors /advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate mammogram in exchange for advertising.

Here’s the web site! Pass it along to people you know.

, PLEASE TELL 10 FRIENDS TO TELL 10 TODAY

Guess what I'm doing?

There's a huge snow storm going on right now and I'm in bed, with the laptop and having coffee and reading a book. I plan to stay in bed to read ALL day, except if someone needs me for something. Which I doubt because I have been busy Monday and Tuesday with meetings for The Parish, shopping yesterday with The Tall Friend.

Claudia was asking me about a job update. I'm not going back to work right now, I'm going to college for an intensive program. I cannot wait to go but while I wait for the call that'll tell me the starting date, I'm enjoying the vacation a lot. All the pressure and the negative feelings coming from unemployment left the morning I was accepted into college, at that right moment, I felt relieved and finally it was like 100 pounds was lifted of my chest.

I'm getting hungry, I guess I'll get out of bed to eat something, then right back in. I feel soo comfortable, I'm warm, I'm with Mr.Cat who's at the foot of the bed sleeping. mrgreen

Hope you are having a good day.

I'm up early but slept like crap

For some fkn reasons, I fell asleep around 3h30 AM. I got up with my alarm at 7h50 but I feel like hell. confused Why the hell did I sleep so bad? yuck.

I'm waiting for the Tall Friend to call, we're going in Bigger Town shopping . I love, love, love shopping. There's a meeting for the Church Council tonight and we are all going.

I'll survive and have a great day, I'm drinking lots and lots of coffee to forget this fucked up night. May your day be well.

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Finally an update...

Hey guys! I got back in town a little before dinner on Friday, my 3 days trip was nice, I had fun, relaxed, enjoyed the quietness of The Lake. On Thursday I went in town and got myself a massage. Not like this one, she didn't offered or gave me an extra. lol My friend's Internet connection is by dial-up, so I only took my message twice a day but no surfing the web or nothing. I worked on The Parish's finance's project, it is done, we are meeting tomorrow night to look at it and we'll present it to The Church's council on Tuesday night.

Friday night, The Passionate One, her sister and I went to The Bistrot and had drinks and it was fun. We had a good time. mrgreen Yesterday The Tall Friend, his wife "The New Blogger", the kids and I had dinner together and played games. It was fun... We talked until 2 in the morning. mrgreen And today, I just stayed home, cleaned and cooked dinner and baked biscottis for the meetings with the guys.

How's everyone doing? Can you guys believe we are March 2nd? It's unbelievable, time flies for sure.

Has it been that long since I posted?

Wow, haven't blogged since Saturday night? I'm sorry... I was online tho, and commented on people's blog. I guess I just didn't think of posting something new... (I'm sorry I suck, or I don't?)

I felt like a trophy last night and it was really flattering for my ego. lol We had a meeting with The Diocese for the annual funding campaign with members of the diocese and other members of church council all over the diocese. I'm in my twenties, I'm young, alive, feminine, happy and you know, it's not common for a parish those days to have an administrator that young, especially a women.

The two men from the diocese wouldn't believe me when I said " Hello, my name is No Nonsense girl and I'm on the church council of The Parish".

Them: Really? That's not possible

Me: Seriously, I am a member of the church council.

Them: But you are so...

M: so what? cute? sexy? hot?
I was elected in December and I've been in The Parish for a few years

Them: Wow, really, you are not kidding?

M: Well, you'll ask The Friendly Boss when he joins us, he'll tell you.

Then they just smiled...

Few seconds later, The Friendly Boss joined us and confirms to Mr. In charge of the finances at The Diocese that I am indeed a member of the church council. Just so you know, these 2 guys from The Diocese were very nice for the rest of the evening.

I guess they were just shocked to see a young hot woman on a council. I was not offended one second, it was very flattering. I did indeed feel like a trophy and it was good for my ego, you know... By the way, it's because members of church council are mostly way over their 60s and mostly male. I wasn't the only woman yesterday, I think we were 5 or 6. I told TFB when we were alone " I know why you wanted me to come tonight, it was to show me off to them eh? He just laughed and smiled.

So that's it. I'm leaving tomorrow morning to visit a friend and I'll be back on Friday in the evening. I can't leave longer, Mr.Cat is able to be independent and care for himself for 2 nights/3 days but more than that stresses him and me out.

I'm going to go for a walk this afternoon, it's going to relax me. mrgreen
