So I'm back from second interview...

It went really well, It lasted maybe 35 minutes?

They had questions related to their industry, asked me specific questions related to my reactions to the kind of situations that happen in the job I want at their place. It was pretty informal and not stressful as the first one. They told me they needed to discuss the interview amongst themselves and with other company related people and that I'd hear from them in the next 2 weeks. Their questions were related to consumer service, following company's guidelines, handling pressure and stress, teamwork.

I was more at peace when I left that when I arrived (I wasn't anxious, I was a little nervous that's it). smile I told them few times directly that I want the job, that I see myself work for them and that I'd be good. It couldn't have been more clear. It was a great interview.

I am proud and now that I rested, I'm back in shape. After the interview I went to TFB and SW's house for a coffee, chatted a little while but they had things to take care of so he took me home. I settle down and took a nap and boy did the short nap helped. I don't think I slept more than 30 minutes but It relaxed me, helped the pressure to go away. I tidyed up the home, fold some clothes, ate something and I'm not back in my me. mrgreen

I'm still yawning, dunno why but I'm in a good mood. I'm going to stay at home until 16h30 just in case they call. I've got an answering machine but at the moment it feels best to be at home. I'm going with friends tonight The Young Priest, The Seminarian, The Nurse and The Psych Nurse will be together, it'll be fun. Tomorrow is Saturday Guess who'll sleep in late? wink

Sunday is a big freaking day, there's going to be two cruise ships in town, it is also the closing mass of the Parish Anniversary with The Bishop! Yup, The Bishop's going to be at The Church, it's going to be long! lol TFB can't be my partner that day so The Tall Friend is joining me, we've already worked together so I know we make a great team so I know we'll have a good time.

I was tagged by Claudia for a dancing story, I'll try to find one, I'm just NOT a dancer. lol I absolutely have no experience but I'll do the memo, don't worry. mrgreen

So that's my update, I'm in a good more, still have a sore throat, I can't wait to get a phone call from Big Multinational Company. Thank you for every comment, for the thoughts, prayers, positive vibes!!!! They are appreciated.

Update before going to the second interview...

It's getting close to midnight, I got home pretty late, close to 11 PM. I'm in a good mood, thankful, ready for tomorrow morning.

I'm blessed to be surrounded by good people. I'm speechless, speechless because it's a good surprise, because when I'm overly thrilled I have no words. We discussed this afternoon me being thankful, we discussed the whole thing. Thanks for the love and support....

I'm ready for tomorrow, I only need the sore throat to go away so I'd feel 100% top shape. I want the job, I fit in the place, I will do a damn good job if I'm hired. Pray, send good vibes, positives thoughts, think of me. I need the love and the peace. Oh and thanks to my 2 angels who are just watching over me, you 2 are awesome, it's amazing.

Totally off topic, I've got a BETA fish at the cocktail I went. I hope it doesn't die. It needs a name, any idea? I thought of many weird names but can't make up my mind. Hopefully, Mr. Cat will not kill it tonight. lol TFB and SW adopted one too! lol

I'm going to bed guys!!!! Much love!!! smile

Second interview tomorrow

Can't explain more because I'm on my way out. I have an appt at 9h00 tomorrow for the 2nd interview. Oh. My god!

Will explain more later!!!!

The 5 "Me" MEME

Wow, I was tagged by The Gal Herself and it touches me that she thought of me. I hope you'll visit her, she'll already on my blogroll. (because I enjoy reading her)

THE "5 ME" MEME

List 5 things about yourself that you never have before.

1. I've spend 9 months in a foster center when I was 14 years old. And It was great, I felt safe there, I use to wish I hadn't left.

2. I'm an insomniac... I've always have trouble sleeping, for as long as I can remember. But I don't fight it anymore.

3. I believe in telling people how much they mean to me and how important they are on a daily basis. Seize the day, be thankful. Let people know you love them, how much you feel blessed to have them in your life.

4. I was a self injurer for close to 12 years. I use to cut myself daily, up until one day something happened ( February 2004) and I realised I wanted to live, I loved myself and then, things started to change. I'm not ashamed of my scars, they are part of who I AM. I don't love them but they are a mark left by the pain I was going through.

5. I'll be celebrating the 7th anniversary of my baptism in about a month. Confirmation's been 2 years.

About self injury, there's resources available online and IRL. If someone you knows SI, talk to them, do not hesitate, let them know how you feel, how you care. Someone really close to my heart bought me the "Understanding Selfinjury the Workbook" . I translated it in french for people here who have no resources. As a former cutter, I'm telling you, there's hope. People can help, people can be happy.

I'm tagging 3 people:

Nicholas
Special K Toni
Lara's Chronicles

Share the love guys. I hope you have enjoyed these 5 things about me. If you have any question ask me. mrgreen

Thirteen things I'm grateful for...

So, the topic came naturally to me after my visit to the doctor yesterday. I'm grateful for many things, let's devote my whole TT to these things...

1. I'm grateful to be healthy. I don't suffer from any life-threatening illnesses, I do have a cold that's starting but I'll overcome it. I'll bitch and moan but will overcome it.lol

2. I'm grateful to have a roof over my head and food to eat and that I support myself.

3. I'm grateful for being happy and feel good in my own skin. For so long I didn't... For so fucking long I hated my life... I now adore it.

4. I'm grateful that no one forces me to do anything I don't want to do, that I feel safe at all time. I'm grateful no one wakes me up at night crawling in my bed for whatever.

5. I'm grateful every day to see the sun shining and to breathe fresh air. Every day is a gift, every day is a miracle. I'm grateful because of the sucky things that have happened to me have helped me grow to be this person.." mrgreen

6. I'm grateful because I've got many friends that I love with my whole heart. I'm grateful because they know me, love me and because we are on a journey together, a journey called life.

7. I'm grateful because know what I'm worth and wouldn't let anyone tell me otherwise. except silly things of everyday life that we all have to follow.

8. I'm grateful to be HIV negative. That sounds pathetic huh? I almost feel I shouldn't be saying it. lol

9. I'm grateful that I never got pregnant while I was in hell. This would so have sucked, Oh my god! I love kids, I wasn't ready to have any and I'm grateful I didn't because they would have been messed up.

10. I'm grateful that I feel good saying "Yes" and "no"... I am OK to respect my need, set the boundaries as to what makes me happy or not.

11. I'm grateful I was given a second chance to start my life. The hell with the past, life's a treasure, live it, use it, feel good about cherishing it.

12. I'm grateful I was supported enough to admit to mistake I made, had the balls to face the music. and it took balls of steel and that's the understatement of the fucking century!

13. I'm grateful and thankful for the faith I have in God, to see His light, His path and follow the BIG plan.

What are you guys more grateful for? Do you love your life? Have you learned from the mistake you made? What ya think? smile

On the term "memorabilia" ...

Well very smart me used the term memorabilia when referring to the bookmarks we are having made for the closing mass of the Parish Anniversary (that we'll be offering the the people attending said celebration).

The bookmarks will be a memorabilia for the Parish Anniversary.

The Friendly Boss (TFB) stopped talking, looked and winked at me and said: "Wow, memorabilia, such an intelligent word" an another member said "Oh My God! She speaks like a big book" and Administrative Friend (AF) said "woo hoo". lol

Yeah, whatever guys!!! lol You shouldn't make fun of ME Y'all are lucky I'm not dumb as a box of rocks!!! lol

About yesterday...

I did went to see my doctor in late afternoon, it went really well. She's been my doc since, lets see, my teen years. She knows me like no one else does. She doesn't just know my body, she knows also my heart and soul. She's seen the changes over the year, she sees me fully happy today. She sees someone that she loves who went through hell and got out of it. She she is thrilled, as I am. But that'll be my TT.

I had a meeting of the PAC last night, it lived up to it's reputation. lol Let's not say more girl! lol But being a member of a committee when you aren't employed anymore by better. It also helps to let go and keep it cool. Oh and I was the only women last night with 5 men. lol

So that's my day, I need to go sign the contract with the local television channel because they'll film the closing mass and I'll be at The Church from 16h00 - 18h30.

I want to say that today is the wedding anniversary of two people I care about a lot. I wish you as many years filled with love, kindness, affection and I want you to be healthy so you can enjoy as many years as you've have today. You two are an inspiration. Lots of love and blessing coming you way. You two totally deserve them!!!

What are your plans for today guys?

About my blog title...

It now reads "Diary Of A Former Catholic Church Worker" because as of last Friday, my contract is over. I thought a title change was in order. I've updated my profile to. mrgreen Do you like the new title? Any opinion to share?

Oh and if one of my readers wants to do a link exchange, email me or post a comment, I'll add you to my blogroll and you can do the same. On this guys, I'll see ya later!

Being at home's a strange thing huh?

For me it is, I'm so used of being at work Monday-Friday that I can't seem to put myself in a "weekend mode". lol Sleep in late, stay in my pajamas ALL day, do nothing.

I was up at 7h25 this morning and that by itself is an odd thing because I love sleeping late, worked on putting together the addresses for the "Thank You letters" that TFB and I are sending our partners in the project that we just finished. This was all done and ready a little after 8 AM, I called the girls at The Parish's office to ask if I could come, print them, take envelopes, stamps and mail them. So I was at The Office around 8h45, did my things and left around 9h15. smile

I decided to stop and have breakfast at small chain place and read the newspaper and ta dam!!! There was a little article announcing the closing mass of The Parish Anniversary coming this weekend. I was thrilled because it's difficult to get the media's attention when you aren't promoting Sex, Sports or Scandals. I was happy my private emails with the journalist worked out. mrgreen

That's about it, I have an appointment with my doctor this afternoon so I've gotta go to Bigger Town and back here because there's a meeting of the parish committee this evening! smile

Still waiting to hear from Big Multinational Company, they did call my friend and co-worker The Passionnate One this morning to ask questions about me because she was one of my references (I gave three).

Keep the good thoughts, positive vibes, prayers my way. They are still needed. mrgreen

The internet's a powerful thing eh?

Thanks to Claudia who inspired me, I bought lingerie this afternoon. lol It's her damn TT's fault. I was at The Shopping mall and stopped at Lingerie Store and bought sexy panties for ME. mrgreen So my dear, no one but my doctor will see them freaking celibacy ( I happen to have an appt tomorrow). wink Thank you Claudia, It really made me feel pretty, sexy, confident and beautiful. mrgreen

Other than that I bought dressed boots for winter, they are black suede boots. I have walking boots but needed something to wear with dressed pants and skirts. Also because of SW (who bought a new purse yesterday), I got a new one too. ( it was on sale), I also picked up 2 hats for my friend's daughter. I wasn't able to decide which one to get so I bought the 2 sets with mittens. I mailed them from the mall, you should have them by Friday. What else, what else? I did get a little something at my favorite store.

That's it, I'm home, doin' laundry and chillin'. mrgreen Whatcha doing?

Guess who forgot we're october first?

lol If you guessed "You did, No Nonsense girl", you are right.

So because I forgot about that, it means I don't have the October bus pass rolleyes Which means, I'll walk 15 minutes to the store that carries them because I want/need to go shopping to Bigger Town this afternoon and the bus driver won't let me travel without the right month's bus pass. what a fucker huh!!! Don't worry I'm just kidding. lol

I have to buy a winter hat for a friend's daughter, I'll get something cute and I want to just walk there and relax, think of nothing but pleasing things.

The phone rang at 9h00, it was a wrong number, so I got up and called the religious item importation company and ordered the pious items that we decided to get yesterday. The funniest thing is that the 3 things that SW said weren't really cute weren't available anymore. lol So I got 3 things that I'm sure she'll like better, and I have to say those we'll get are cuter than our first idea (TFB and I).

So I'm dressed, makeup on and ready to go. mrgreen Later taters!!!!

An Amazing sunday!!!!

and this is an understatement, the day was absolutely magnificent. mrgreen The visitors were awesome, the weather was nice. We had so many people at The Church, unbelievable. I'm filled with the energy from these meetings.

TFB, SW and I were there all day long and we didn't relax, we were busy ALL day. With over 400 visitors, we needed to be a good close team. biggrin People at our chapel in the basement of the funeral home were great with the visitors we sent for the 11 AM mass. They had a welcome message in English, part of the homily translated by Cute Friend , and 3 active member of The Parish took the visitors back in our part of the town, back near the pier. Instead of making them walk the 2 mile or call a cab, they just offered to drive them. I'm so freaking proud of them, they showed the visitors what a parish, what a christian is suppose to be about. Which is kindness, warm welcome and attention, friendship and taking care of each other. smile I've already called each of them to say thank you and it was appreciated. As the one in charge of the parish's participation to the cruise ship, I had to call and say "thank you and I'm so proud of you, thanks for being generous of your time and opening your heart". smile

Yeah, I'm big on saying "Thank you" because I think it's important to say those things. Life is too short not to take it to let people know how you feel about them. Sorry for being so preachy tonight, I'm energized! redface Duh!!! lol

But at The Church, it was non-stop visits with the people. Two of our friends (with whom we had dinner that night ) came by The Church and we had a nice time and laughed a lot. He is really funny, I can't recall exactly what made me laugh my ass off but with them, I had a moment where I had to go and hide in a confessional because I was laughing my ass off. lol I'm sure you know by now that I'm a very happy person who likes to laugh, so imagine when I'm in good company.mrgreen

I'm very tired, exhausted but thrilled and full of energy. We went to The Parish's office to drop a few things and I picked the last personal items I had there. It was bittersweet!

I'm going to leave you on that! Love and hugs!!! smile

Tales of a saturday

Just a small entry, I don't have much to say. We had a cruise ship in town today, it went really well, lots of visitors, people were nice, smart and sweet. mrgreen We left a little around 17h15, we had a lot to put back in the vestry to be used for tomorrow but because The Church is used tonight for mass, we had to put back everything where it should be. The sucky thing is that we'll use it tomorrow at 7h30 AM but whatever. lol

My cruise ship partner and I laughed our ass off because of double entendre we joked about. We're a good team because of a complicity we've developed. It's always pleasant. I did miss SW who didn't join us because she was sick with the flu. sad I hope you feel better tomorrow and join us. mrgreen

The faith experience we share is amazing, I had a lot of little click today, there's was magic with the visitors. I'm very glad the connection was there. Sweet people, good times!!!!

Currently listening to Taize's song "Only in God my soul can find rest and peace". Taize is an ecumenical community in Europe. biggrin I need a shower, I need to email back my friend Nicholas, I read his email early this morning and want to reply back tonight. Oh and I want to watch a little TV.

Night Y'all!!!! mrgreen

Few answers for a fellow blogger...

I'm replying to Ethan from Mr. Devereux's blog, he had a few questions upon receiving an email from someone who told him he was going to hell. Because of his job and life choices.

I want to say first that I'm not an official catholic authority. I'm a convert, long story even to Christianity. I love to read the bible, I'm a moderate person, not extremist and I'll try to answer Ethan to the best of my knowledge.

Is it suppose to make me feel better to believe in god?

I can't speak for you, I only know what makes ME feel better. Converting to Catholicism has given my life a meaning. It gave me strength to make choices that would create inside of me LIFE instead of DEATH. Before believing, my life was absolute hell, I was unhappy, unfulfilled, I didn't really believe it would get better.

Believing didn't make things all better right away, it helped me to choose life instead of death, positive instead of negative, peaceful instead of self-destructive.
Feeling God's love, presence and peace was the reason as to why I turned it around. (My life it is)

How do I know if he accepts it when I repent?

Again, this is what I believe, not a fact, just a belief. I think God reads through our heart, he knows us (the believers), when we repent for something, I think he knows if we are honest or not, if we mean it or not. It's a matter of believing or not. For me it's simple and not mind-boggling AT ALL.

I would like to know what the purpose of believing in god is.

I can only tell you that for me, the conversion to God was life changing. That I'm far from perfect but I want to follow Jesus's principle. Again, I want to. I know for a fact, I'm not always and I don't beat myself over this because I'm only a freaking human.

Believing in God is a part of me, I'm just a regular person and I think the coward who emailed you the threats to hell forgot his own principle from the bible he proclaims to follow. And in between you and I, how in heck would HE know who goes to "hell" or not? You do NOT have to believe in anything.

Does this satisfy you at all (my answers), I wanted to give you a reply and I also wanted to let you know that whether you believe or not (in anything) is totally up to you. I don't think you are wrong for not believing. I made the choices for me, I only know what is good for me and even then, it's not always easy to see. mrgreen So? Did I pass the test? lol What do you guys think?
