Shopping spree stories...

I am insane, I went shopping for more "career" orientated clothes. I lost my mind this afternoon I think. lol

It's SW's fault!! lol Nah, I'm kidding, it's because I spoke to her this morning and wanted maybe to visit them but they had stuff to do which is fine, so I decided to go shop for clothes, for the job. mrgreen I enjoy shopping, I love it, I didn't need anyone to twist my arm. mrgreen

Went to my favorite store, bought 3 tops ( 2 blouse, 1 3/4 sleeve, 1 long sleeve and 1 awesome cashmere sweater) and 2 dress pants (black, dark brown), 3 pairs of socks and a pair of tights. rolleyes biggrin Bought Clinique Makeup shouldn't I deserve samples and free stuff because I give them free advertisement? A fake pearl necklace. And Oh. My. Gosh. the sweetest winter scarf with the matching mittens. Got some crap at walmart because ya know, is it a trip if you don't end up buying crap at walmart? confused Nah, didn't think so.

I have to be at The Parish's office tomorrow morning, they are going to do a little "goodbye party" for me. I have to pretend not to know because our coordinator called with a fake reason. She invited me to celebrate someone's birthday but she doesn't know I'm aware it was celebrated 2 weeks ago. lol I told The Friendly Boss (TFB) tonight that I knew they were doing this and we decided that I wouldn't ruin the surprise so I'll pretend. lol I think it's very sweet that they're doing it. TFB will pick me up in the morning and drop me at the corner and I'll walk the block left to be at the office. He's sweet to pick me up. smile And I have an appointment with my hairdresser. That's cool eh?

I stopped at The Church for the 16h00 mass, took time to pray and thank Him for everything good. I thought of Vixen's job interview while at church. It had been a long time for me to go at a weekday mass. I was glad I went.

I'm on the process of putting my "windows insulation kit". One window done, 4 left. surprised It's one of the few time I wish I had a boyfriend to do the job, that and the garbage.Anyone interested in a sexless relationship? You'll take the garbage out, install the electric thingy and put the window insulation kit on the fucking windows.Like I said, that's it. I'm not available for more.I know, I know, that's why I'm the SOL who is doing all of it. wink I could ask many guys to do it, like TFB, AF, TTF, TYP or even The Seminarian but I am able to do it, so I do it.mrgreen

So as I'm watching Law and Order SVU, I'm posting this. cool I think that's all for now. Whacha up to?

PS: Anyone listened to "Shake that Ass" from Eminem? I like that song a lot.

Soo excited that I can't sleep...

lol Yup, roll your eyes all you want, all you can. I can't freaking sleep, I'm way too happy. I'm over thinking this because my brain can't shut down. Jeez, I just put water in the thingy to make myself a herbal tea to relax. mrgreen

I was in bed tossing and turning! lol But I know I've got every right to be that happy. This changes everything, this job offers stability, long-term, not temporary, not as long as we can scrape money, no, this changes everything.

The "good night" tea is infusing in my mug as we speak. Hopefully this will calm me down and help me sleep. God, I'm so happy, thank you, thank you, thank you. smile Tomorrow, if it works with them, I'll go by TFB and SW's house, I'll show them my contract, chat and enjoy this happiness with people who've helped me tremendously for a long time.

::does the happy dance::: mrgreen

Totally off/topic but I learned today that fishy died on Saturday, I think he just never recuperated from the lack of oxygen. Sucks that I was a part of what led to his death huh Poor fishy, poor friend who took him. sad Just wanted to let you guys know the news. confused Spiderman is doing well, happy, alive, being taken care by his new family. SW isn't a fish killer!

More thoughts and rambling on the job!!!

I'm incredibly happy, my heart has wings I swear. That's how I feel. It's an amazing feeling. I signed my contract at 16h00 and I start on Monday.

I've spoken with everyone, each friend that has been supportive, loving, present. I'm just very thankful and appreciative of the new opportunity and I'll do well. I'm beside myself with joy, it's unbelievable. lol If I didn't refrain, I'd be jumping with joy everywhere. mrgreen How freaking cool is that?

Bear with me, I'm just happy, content, joyful, thrilled, thankful. The social benefits are absolutely incredible!!! My God, thank you, thank you, thank you. I haven't ate much because I'm on the adrenaline rush, I don't know if I'll sleep well cuz I'm excited but my heart has wings... But I'm delighted, happy, life is fucking amazing!!!! wink

I've got the job!!!

Got the phone call around 13h20, I've got the job!!!! mrgreen Big Multinational Company has hired me!!!!

I'm going there at 16h00 to sign the papers, I'm so fucking excited, it's unbelievable. I told my artist friend, got a hold of SW on her cellphone (she was incredibly excited, as in cheering), she'll tell TFB.

Thanks for the prayers, good thoughts, positive vibes, thanks for the support and to all my friends. Love you!!!! I need to go get ready, I was still in my jammies when I got the call, I need to look at my best! smile Guys, I'm so unbelievably happy! God is good, my friends are too. Life rocks!!!!! mrgreen

Sunday's everything and nothing...

I've got many little stories to tell you. Most of them would fit in the "Slice Of Life's" category. lol

I got up at 12h30 PM, I slept late with Mr.Cat, we cuddled and relax and rested. Boy did it felt good. My freaking throat still was painful and my lymph node swollen, so I decided I'd call the nurse line for an advice as to what to do, when does one need to see a Dr for swollen lymph nodes (think laryngitis or tonsillitis).

Me: (describing symptoms, being totally rational, as a matter of fact just describing)

Nurse: Well it's a good sign that they are painful, it's probably not cancerous.

Me: What the fuck? er, I wasn't worried about cancer, jeez. I'm worried about tonsillitis or laryngitis, that's it. Not for one second did I worried that swollen lymph node on my throat were cancerous. Are you serious? lol

Nurse: Oh well, just wanted to reassure you.

Me: rolleyes :::sigh::: Well okay, so if it stays swollen for a week, to see a doctor. I'll do that.

Nurse: So don't worry, it's probably nothing.

Me: Ma'am, it's nothing more than my body fighting an infection, that I know. Just wanted to check with someone competent a nurse.

Nurse: You are much more educated that most of our caller.

Me: You mean I'm smarter or less paranoiac than most of your caller? Thanks a lot. Have a great day!

Seriously, who the hell think they have cancer because while having a cold their lymph node swell near their throat? Who the hell is that alarmist? I had to keep most of my snark because I thought she was ridiculous. Not one second did I worry about cancer. lol That's what I call an over-the-top reaction!!! lol

The confirmation went really well, I wrote down the twins a long card, each had one. The celebration lasted 90 long minutes. I was proud of them! smile

What did you guys do today? Are you ready for the week to start? I'm totally ready to get Big Multinational Company's call wink

Currently listening to "I have a dream" from Abba

I have a dream, a song to sing
To help me cope with anything
If you see the wonder of a fairy tale
You can take the future even if you fail
I believe in angels
Something good in everything I see
I believe in angels
When I know the time is right for me
I’ll cross the stream - I have a dream

I have a dream, a fantasy
To help me through reality
And my destination makes it worth the while
Pushing through the darkness still another mile
I believe in angels
Something good in everything I see
I believe in angels
When I know the time is right for me
I’ll cross the stream - I have a dream
I’ll cross the stream - I have a dream

I have a dream, a song to sing
To help me cope with anything
If you see the wonder of a fairy tale
You can take the future even if you fail
I believe in angels
Something good in everything I see
I believe in angels
When I know the time is right for me
I’ll cross the stream - I have a dream
I’ll cross the stream - I have a dream

Here's the YouTube link if ya wanna listen to it. Do you like the song? Were you a fan of Abba? The Seminarian's homily was nice and quite interesting, I was proud of him. mrgreen It's late, I've gotta sleep because I'll go out tomorrow. One of my lymph node is swollen and it's painful to swallow. YUCK!!! It needs to go away... The gal herself gave it back to me.

My friend's twins will be confirmed in the afternoon. So, I will be attending.smile On that sweeties, sleep well, don't let the bed bugs bite ya.

Stories from Friday and a movie recommendation

So I met with a friend for dinner... We went to a fairly new place in Bigger Town. One we wanted to try but that we'd heard bad and good critics. To my surprise and his too, I believe it was very good and affordable. My friend's Baby Back Ribs were tasty. mrgreen Anyway, it was good, the place was clean, waitress nice, food yummy and the freaking brownies was to die for. I wasn't able to finish it. biggrin

We went shopping, took our time and went to the late representation of Micheal Clayton featuring the handsome and talented George Clooney. Go and see it, the movie's good, the moral of the story is nice, George is HOT. ::::drool::::

I need to stop by the retail store because I bought 5 items last night and she only packed one of them, the cat food. The rest, including 3 greeting cards (2 of which are for tomorrow) and a candle were forgotten by the cashier. rolleyes I called this morning, started to explain and the lady said " Yup, we've got the stuff, just stop by the customer service's office and you'll get your things, we are sorry". It's okay, people forget, cashiers are human beings. I never realise it before midnight when I got home. The bad was heavy because of the cat food, I thought the rest was there. So I'll stop by later this afternoon on my way to dinner and attending the mass where my friend, The Seminarian will be doing the homily.

On my quest to find this tea (It's SW and I's favorite tea) , which I didn't find in the 5-6 places I went cry, I did buy 2 boxes (one for me, one for TFB and SW) of this desert tea by celestial seasonings and it's very very very good. I could order online from Celestial Seasonings but I don't do FedEx or UPS, I've got issues with them and they can't deliver with USPS. rolleyes

So that's my slice of life. What are you doing this weekend?

A more serious entry about rape...

I was reading college callgirl's blog entry few minutes ago titled " The number is Eight", she is referring to a post on Jezebel titled "How To Rape 100 (Cute, Educated, Upper Middle-Class) Women And Get Away With It". This creep needs a good kick in the ass.

The right to say no is never to be tampered with. No means "NO". Go read these two links, discuss it here or there if you want but discuss it. If any of you needs help RAINN (Rape Abuse and Incest National Network) or call 1-800-656-HOPE. In Canada you can reach "No means No".

So this is my PSA of the day. Visit these two place, discuss, get help, speak up!!! Thanks to college callgirl for doing so!

As of thursday october 11th 2007

I haven't heard anything from Big Multinational Company but that's okay, I'm good at waiting. lol I have kept busy today and yesterday, helped a friend with some translation work. Which was very nice to do. So tomorrow I'll just relax, act like I'm on vacation. mrgreen

On Saturday, TYP and other friends are going to attend a mass where our friend, The Seminarian is going to do the homily (because he's studying to become a catholic priest) and we are going to show him our support. smile I know you are reading this, so give me a call if you want to do something tomorrow night. mrgreen

So Fishy is at my friend's house, he's hopefully going to thrive soon. Sweet Wife's (SW) fish, who's new name is Spiderman is at our friend's SIL's house. My former fish doesn't have a name I think.confused While we wait to know his name, we'll keep on referring to him as Fishy ok? lol Thanks to friend's SIL for adopting Spiderman.

So all is good, everyone around me is good but I'd like to know how you guys are doing? Whacha going to do tomorrow? TGIF!!!! cool

Prayers, thoughts, vibes, whatever for the job please! smile

Thirteen things in the last week...

I'm relating many events from the past week and updating you all on my life.mrgreen

1. Last Friday, I went for my second interview with Big Multinational Company. It went well, I'm waiting to hear from them.

2. I got a Betta fish on Thursday. I went to a cocktail, their table's decoration consisted of Beta fish in bowls and when people left, we were asked to take one home or they'll flush them in the toilet.rolleyes

3. I found an adoptive mom for Fishy on Wednesday.

4. We celebrated the closing mass of the Parish Anniversary on Sunday.

5. I came close of being a fish killer.

6. I've heard myself say many times to Mr.Cat: "Nope dude, we do not kill members of the family."

7. I was able to let go on the job thingy on Tuesday.

8. I was in church for the closing mass but didn't listen to the gospel, the sermon or took Holy Communion. I was at the door welcoming the visitors from the cruise ships.

9. Someone told me how precious I am and how much of a privilege it is to work with me. I almost cried...

10. I debated religion with friends on Friday. I should know better than getting my panties in a wad every time eh?!

11. I want to punch this sick fuck! A 55 years old man from Montreal is accused of child abuse but says that it's irrelevant to know whether he had sexual intercourse with the 10 years old girl because he married her in Quebec. Sick fuck! I have no sympathy, compassion for pedophile. I don't care what anyone thinks, they are scum!

12. I had a bad cold and sore throat in the past week. I'm feeling much better now, my voice still sounds weird but the rest is pretty much back to normal.

13. I ate at my friend's house a lot in the past 2 weeks. Lots of good meals and fun times. I also had lots of "mommy" meals. (Things you don't normally cook for yourself when you live alone) Thanks to those who invited me.

I found an adoptive mom for my fish!

lol Yup, I found Fishy a new mom and a new home. He's moving out tomorrow. I was with a friend today and came the topic of my blog and Fishy and she offered to take him. How fantastic is that? I also pushed the adoption of SW's fish. I knew she didn't really want him, she, like me was stuck with it, and because it's alive, you can't just flush it down the toilet! You can but you are cruel, really cruel.

So TFB and SW are really happy, they know the adoptive mom well. biggrin I called and said "I found an adoptive mom for your fish and mine if you want". If she wanted? She was making moving out arrangement for tomorrow. lol Yeah, we are silly!!! mrgreen

Because I've let go last night and it made me feel 100% better, I totally focused on something else today and helped a friend and we'll finish tomorrow. Meanwhile, no news from Big Multinational Company but as we say in french "Pas de nouvelles, bonnes nouvelles" or " No news is good news".

So that's it, I need to do my Thursday Thirteen!!!! eek

Life has strange ways to teach us...

I say Life, but you can insert "God" or "The Universe" or whatever suits best your beliefs (or lack thereof). I was answering a friend's email late this evening (I was in a meeting until 22h45) and it dawned on me that I finally let go on the job. Dude, that's great!! Whatever happen, I did everything I could, put my heart into it. You know, I thought I'd let go on Friday but this evening was the final straw that resolved and put my mind at peace/ease and it helped my act of letting go.

There are people who I believe are put on your road for a reason. I've always believed this, but every time something happens to make me *remember*, it makes me smile. It's like the wink of God! mrgreen Tonight was one of the nights I realised it all over again. Do you know what I mean? Does any of this relates to any of you?

I did email the person back not long ago to say

"Thank you so much, what you said helped a lot, it eased/reassured something in my unconscious because I've let go, and it was time to. You've got a way to speak to me that makes me *get* what you mean and move on. You've got it! I don't know why or how, but you do. You always are able to reach me to the level needed. You get through me so easily, just that, by itself alone is something good."

Dude, I'm a Work In Progress. So that's my update, my own little slice of life. Other than that I was in a meeting all evening and before that, had dinner with a friend. What are you up to? How's your week? Come on, let me know! mrgreen
