Stories from yesterday....

TYP picked me up at work and we went to the mall, had dinner, chatted and The Seminarian joined us. The guys went to the movie theater. I would have gone with them but I wanted to go shopping so while they went to see "The Golden Compass", I shopped. Went to get some Clinique foundation, food at Walmart, went to The favorite Store, and also to get stuff at La Senza. And I've got a story to tell you about my visit there.

La Senza is a lingerie store, sexy lingerie store... I get inside, there's a lot of people. There's like 5-6 men and 3 kids. All around the pantie tables... I like kids, but not in a lingerie store. A 6 or 8 years old boy and babies in a stroller. WFT??? One father was with his 2 monsters who kept yelling "I'm hungry, I'm hungry!"!!!

I'm sorry but really, the panties table are off limit, get the hell out of the store. I don't care if your wife is trying on some clothes, you are making clients uncomfortable. And the 4 guys who were with 1 girl in her twenties, they kept commenting on lingerie's, these idiots were around the 3 panties table commenting on this girl's boobs (she was one of them's girlfriend"), on how anyway she wasn't going to keep her lingerie long... blah blah blah. All with the whiny kids and the father who was a pervert who kept looking at the panties I was getting.

I kept talking to myself "I'm gonna tell them off, all of them" but I picked the 5 panties and got the counter to pay and asked one of the girl if she was in charge. she said she was for the night..

Me: Can I tell you something?

Her: Yeah, sure, go ahead.

M: You know my shopping experience sucked tonight. Is this now a family store? What the heck happened?

H: Yeah, there were lots of men and kids eh?

M: I don't mind men in a lingerie store. I mind assholes who are disturbing the clients (ME), I mind kids that yell, and whine loudly in a store that is pretty adult. If I want to buy panties in a family store, I go to sears, ya know? Because it's that type of store.But this isn't fun, these jerks who are speaking like they're in a stripper bar and the little family thingy just sucks. I don't know if I'll be back soon. I'm very disappointed.

H: I know, I'm very sorry, if you knew what type of people we see. I'll tell the manager, you are right, it's not very appropriate.

I was upset, uncomfortable and pretty pissed, but the girl was very very nice and listened to me...

I know I could be flamed for saying this but kids and daddies aren't appropriate everywhere. Does anyone agree with me? And jerks who comment on sex and panties/bras in a lingerie store need to be told to STFU.

When the movie was over, we went for a coffee and chatted long. When I got home, it was almost 23h00, I put everything to make a chili in the crock pot, so you know how heavenly it smelled when I got up eh? I'm now making Biscottis, I got a recipe over the Internet and decided to make them. I can't wait to see if they are good. If so, I'll post the recipe!

So I'm in my new jammies, baking, cleaning and cooking. I'm just relaxing and doing tons of stuff!!! there's already a beef roast in my crockpot, the chili is in container for lunches...

TGIF!

'Nuff said, you know what I mean eh? The weekend's gonna start at 17h00!!! :::does the happy dance::: This is soo cool!!!

I can't wait, I need to go shopping, I need to sleep, cook, (with my new crockpot) also clean, sleep, sleep, sleep. Wait, did I mention sleep? I went grocery shopping yesterday after work, so it is done! Yipee!!!!

Do you have plans? Other than what I just said, a friend of mine invited me to go shopping in Mega City, 2 and a half hours away from here, the city is awesome, the malls are HUGE, but to go, I'd need to get up at the crack of dawn Sunday. I haven't made my decision yet.

So what are your plans? Anything special?

Thirteen things that crossed my mind in the last week...

1. I wanna have a house before I turn 40 years old. even if it's a small house, I'd like to have MY own home.

2. I'd like to see the ocean in the next 2 years. Atlantic, pacific, doesn't matter, I wanna see the ocean.

3. People who are on their cellphone while in lines at any cashier checkout are annoying.

4. I can't stand the rude people who smoke while waiting in the public transportation's cabin.

5. I wanna get my driver's license.

6. I'd like to own a car!

7. I'd like to see women ordained as catholic priests before I die.

8. I'd like to see catholic priests be allowed to marry before I die.

9. People who touch me in the bus when there's plenty of available free space creep me out.

Dude, there's no need for this, this is my space, not YOURS!

10. I want to have a real retirement fund to plan my own retirement.

11. I'd like to meet with my Brother-in-law who lives oversea. Maybe one day, maybe.

12. I'm proud to be a member of the church's council.

13. I have started to "look closely" at the way people are dressing since I've been watching "What not to wear" it's a shame the way some people dress.

Yeah it's me and it's late...

Yeah, it's passed 23h30 and I'm up. I had a meeting tonight, got home after 22h40, wrote a long email to a friend and I'm here, stuck, can't sleep. So I thought "the hell with this, I'll blog"!

I made the guys muffins for the meeting tonight, they were happy, I told them they owed it to The Tall Friend who picked me up at work on his way home, so I was able to eat, shower and make muffins. The Retiree said I was sucking up, I told him he wasn't going to be allowed a muffin. Guess what? all were ate and he didn't get one...

When he came to the table, all were eaten and TFB offered him the last one, he said "Nah, keep it, it's OK", I said " You were punished for being mean!" Couple of us had 2 each, I was actually happy to bring them homemade muffins, that makes break time better and brings a nice touch to the meeting.

I told them "I'm doing this but don't think I'd be doing this everyday to my husband if I was married"! They all laughed, they know me well. I'm so not a submissive person! I'm not a stepford wife, they'd have to heavily medicate me in order to convert me to the "stepford lifestyle".

I'm interrupting my post as Ive yawned 5 times in the past 2 minutes... I'm off to bed!!!

Can you believe this?

I went to bed around 20h30 last night, slept right away and got up this morning usual time (5h45) and I'm kicking myself to function, my bed was so warm and comfy... I would have stayed in it....

I can't believe I slept 9 hours! That was so good! On this guys, have a great day!!!

A talk I had twice this weekend...

Overheard at Costco yesterday because The Friendly Boss was gently teasing me:

Good grief.... I chose you as a friend and father figure and you're always teasing me! I gently slapped his arm ... The worse part is that I picked you. ... Nah, I like it, this complicity rocks my boat! You're great!!! He's a nice teaser, never mean or cruel and you know, I push him and provoke his teasing because I do it non-stop.

Overheard at the restaurant around noon while The Retiree was teasing me:

Jeez, you're always teasing me. I wonder why eh? He then says we only tease those we care about and I told him I agreed with him and that I liked the fun teasing.... He says he's the same with his daughters and I know it's true and it's the great part....

I don't know for you but I'm a teaser and I'm a teasee too! The Retiree wants to keep calling me "Fuck You girl" because the night I got drunk, my favorite saying was "Fuck you"!!! This morning at church he says "How's FU doing?" Well dearie, I just don't say this very often when sober

Oh and the poor TFB had a No Nonsense girl "moment" during the parishioner's meeting this morning when he tried to take the microphone and broke the handle. He goofed up and that's something I usually accidentally do. I was soo proud that I almost started to clap my hands, I refrained because I wanted to be elected.

After the meeting I told him "Dude, you totally had a No No nonsense girl moment", he started to laugh and said "I know, I thought the same when it happened!

Little bits from the weekend....

Well, even with the bad news from Friday, I was able to have a good weekend. On Friday night, I ate with TYP, then went to pick up my new glasses, who BTW are awesome. Then got home, relaxed and took time to just be with myself.

Saturday, as I was watching "What Not To Wear" on the computer and thinking of taking a bath , TFB called and offered to go to Costco! Yipee!!! I needed stuff from Costco and they have a card, so off to Costco the three (SW was there) of us went. I bought my Christmas present, a Crock Pot, ya know "to me from me", how great is this and stuff for my work lunches. And it was also my department's party at work. We were 15 at AF and CF's house, it was a nice and fun dinner...

This morning was the parishioner's assembly at church and also there was election for the church council. I was elected! The Tall Friend was re-elected and I joined the guys... Few of us went to the restaurant to have late breakfast and then I came back home.

What I put in my crock pot this morning were chicken tights but when I got home, I took them out, and only put back the meat, water, bouillon and veggies and later rice to make homemade chicken soup. It's almost ready... I'll freeze it for my lunches... yummy for cold days eh?

Anyway, that's my little slice of life.. I'm thankful for Claudia's award, she gave me the "Most likely to inspire a pair of pajama's award" because I keep talking about my jammies. Thanks a lot for thinking of me girl!!!!

Sad news...

I received an email from The Father asking me to call at home ASAP because something tragic had happen and they wanted to speak to me. I received the email this morning but to my home email and I was busy at work and wasn't able to check my home email before 15h00 today. The news was that one of my cousin (who was my age) got killed in a car accident in Western Canada very late Thursday night.

What's worse IMO is that this past June his father (my uncle) killed himself and now The Cousin dies and that leaves my poor aunt widow and having lost her only son.

Can you guys pray and think of my aunt and my family? My aunt is devastated, she hasn't slept yet and takes it hard. Everyone is affected and need strength and hope.
