Belated Wednesday funny

At church yesterday, around 17h00. I'm chit chatting with the man who was hired to fix the church's wooden door. He's very nice, quite chatty but always appropriate, in the past weeks he was telling me about his dating situation. (he's divorced, looking, women he meets are kinda freaking him out)

Him: That's very sad that you are twenty something, because I would date you, we'd make an awesome couple, too bad there's more than twenty years of age difference eh? He's in his 50s

Me: Hmm confused Too bad I don't find you attractive eh? Too bad you wait a week to make love and I believe in waiting until solid commitment :::thinks::: Too bad I want to get married in the church and you are divorced and not interested in marriage. Yeah, you are right it's too bad huh?

H: It's too much of an age difference for you?

M: If I was attracted to you and felt you were the one, age wouldn't matter, but right now, age is one thing among soo many others. Yeah, that's too much of an age difference for me.

I was nice, I really filtered what I needed to say instead of what I could have said. My answers could have hurt his feelings and I didn't wanted that, so it's all good. mrgreen

This is very flattering but just not what I'm looking for. smile

News from The Ex-Boyfriend

Remember him? Well anyway, he called tonight. rolleyes True to himself, he hasn't changed a bit. Am I surprised? Not at all.

I'd be a bitch to post all the itsy bitsy details of our 10 minutes conversation but lets just say I rushed into emailing TFB and SW about it. I figured since I made the choice not to let the world know how he really is to respect his privacy. I still had to vent somewhere. mrgreen

He's not a bad man at all, honest to God, he's a good, honest man, hard worker. He just has a lot of some issues.

Anyway, I'm pooped, it's pass freaking 23h00 and I'm not in bed. Tomorrow is soo going to be a long day!

God, help me! If anyone is interested, my friend's daughter needs some prayers. She has some trouble with her boyfriend and is heartbroken. You know how teens are eh? lol Poor sweetie, she's in my thoughts and prayers.

The dreaded "it's almost 15h00" down

Why am I always having a down around 15h00? lol I'm sleepy as hell and I can't focus. I crave a cigarette I need some fresh air or a coffee, but how much coffee is too much? I mean for a 24 hours period? I had what? 6 cups of coffee since 6h30 this morning?rolleyes

anyway, what is up with always needing a nap around 15h00?
The Old Parishioner, a nice man who collects ancient objects will visit me at church around dinner time. He's a very fun, interesting and respectful man. Oh jeez, I can't believe I'm working late. blech

At 16h00, I'll stop by the retirement home to visit MsDM's friend, grab a coffee at The Coffee Place and open the church and hopefully, have visitors. It's sunny, it's warm, it's a nice day to visit your church's exposition. mrgreen

Is anyone else having a down around 15h00?confused

SQ Believes Cedrika Is Still Alive

From this article:

The Surete du Quebec believes nine-year-old Cedrika Provencher is still alive, three weeks after being kidnapped. The detective in charge of the investigation tells the Journal de Montreal that credible witnesses have called saying they've seen her, adding police have nothing to suggest she's dead. A fourth little girl has come forward saying she too was approached by a man looking for a dog just before Cedrika disappeared. Her description has confirmed other information police have, helping them to target their man. They still have not revealed a composite sketch of their suspect, though.

I can't find a better article in English, all the recent ones with pictures are in french.

Cédrika Provencher
Born : August 29, 1997
Height : 152 cm - 5'
Weight : 32 kgs - 70 lbs.
Eyes : Brown
Hair : Brown (red highlights)
Age (at the time of disappearance) : 9 years old

Cédrika was last seen at the corner of Descheneaux and Chapais Street in Trois-Rivières by two women who said that she was looking for a small dog for an unknown person. She was last seen wearing a green sundress, a red bikini underneath her dress, green flip-flops, a blue and black lanyard of Star Academie with a red key and a white key (ladybug) and a black watch with a pink contour.

PS: I hope no one is getting annoyed at my constant blogging about Cedrika. This kid is missing, it's breaking my heart. It could be mine, it could be yours.cry

Update on The Parish project with nice little fella

Remember Nice Little Fella (NLF)? The deadline for the printing job was tomorrow, I got a call from him this afternoon.

Me: Hello

NLF: Hey No Nonsense girl, this is NLF from Printing X. How are you doing?

M: Good and you?

NLF: good, are you sure?

M: Yeah, I'm sure.

NLF: Are you in a good mood?

M: I was before you called Sure are

NLF: When was printing project due for The Parish?

M: Wednesday, this week.

NLF: When do you need it?

M: Not before next Thursday Tomorrow

NLF: I hope you are in a good mood

M: Why? I could see him come, he was kidding, I was certain.

NLF: Because I have a good news, the Printing project is ready. You can come and pick it up.

M: That's awesome, I'm on my way. But, you'll have to wait for me to meet with the committee, I can't pay right away.

NLF: Sure, no problem, I've never had a problem with The Parish.

M: Thanks soo much, I'm on my way. See ya in a few.mrgreen

So I walked to The Store, it was a very sunny and warm afternoon. I was very a little anxious. What is the job sucked? Who was I going to blame How was I going to explain it? Anyway, The finished Project is beautiful, I'm very satisfied, I told them how happy I was. Can't wait to show TFB and SW when they'll be back from their 2 day-trip. And then we'll present it to The Parish's anniversary committee.

Testing my new skills!!!

I rock, I figured it all by myself. lol Thanks to Shauna from Pass The Chocolate for helping solve my 2 HTML code problems. She explained how to strike through and underline.

So go visit her blog, she's worth the stop. mrgreen I'll forever kiss your ass be grateful, if you need anything, let me know. cool

Rambling thoughts from my lunch break

Overheard at the rectory's table at lunch today. The Deacon and I like each other a lot BUT every time we have lunch together, we end up fighting over anything. We debate every time we eat together...anyway, back to our topic

Just so you know, we were discussing Dave Hilton and pedophile in general.

Me- You think I'm such a mean person because I can't stand pedophile but I'll ask SW to come and have lunch with us next Monday and you'll see that most people DO NOT defend them and see them as broken and hurting folks. Most people like me are sick of them making victims because of their freaking perversion. I'll ask SW to come, you'll see I'm not a Meany. We don't want to hurt them, we don't wish any harm upon them.

TD- Even Bush says he doesn't wish harm upon the Iraqi.

Me- Wait are you comparing me to Bush? :::::speechless::::

TD- Well, yes and no!

Me- Are you serious? Bush is killing thousands of people because of his freaking war. Bush is evil. You are seriously comparing me with Bush? WTF???

TD- lol I wanted to say that sometimes even if one doesn't wish harm upon anyone, their actions can do otherwise.

Me- That I agree, but jeez, there's nothing comparable to Bush in my dislike for pedophile.

I need blood pressure medicine, lunch with TD have always been giving me grey hair. I swear, sometimes I think he's doing it on purpose. lol Maybe angry women turn him on or something.mrgreen

I'll ask SW to come and have lunch with us, maybe TFB could come too. We'd have fun. TYP, TD, TFB, SW and I. That would be great!!! cool Anyone wanting to join us?

Keep that moron locked AKA Dave Hilton is back in jail

Dave Hilton Jr is back in jail after breaking the condition of his early release at the halfway house where he has to reside. He was convicted by a jury of sexually assaulting his two daughters for a long period of time.

That fucking asshole didn't respect his conditions and disappeared for 3 days. evil

Former professional boxer Dave Hilton Jr. may be heading back to prison for failing to live up to a condition of his release that he reside at a halfway house.

A warrant for his arrest had been issued after he failed to return to the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve residence Friday. He is expected to be arraigned today where a judge will decide on his sentence.

He was out of prison after serving two-thirds of a seven-year sentence he received in 2001 for sexually assaulting his two daughters when they were minors. The final third of his sentence was to be served in the community, under supervision and with conditions similar to full parole.

I wish they had the gut to keep that moron behind bars for the rest of his sentence, that is January 2009.

From this article:
The National Parole Board expressed two concerns about Hilton's early release in a letter dated May 10, 2006 — that he always maintained his innocence and that he remained romantically involved with a woman in contact with two minor girls.

What the hell? I'm sorry, you know how I feel about pedophile and rapists. evil What more does the National Parole board need? That he abuses other girls? That he escapes again? Keep that fucking pervert in prison for the rest of his sentence. I said, for the rest of his sentence, not the rest of his life. I do not wish harm upon them, they just sickens me.

Don't send me nasty emails because as a christian, you think I should love him. Because there's nothing you can say that will change my feelings towards sexual offenders.

Help me please!!! Computer geek needed!!!

I've been reading a blog where the writter ( funny and witty) underline and overline her text. I want to do it too. :::pouts:::

How can I edit my freaking HTML? Honest to God, I can't find it. I've Google, tried to understand and I can't.

Help me, help save my sanity and get back to work. Help please! I just want to underline and overline my text.

Pretty please with a cherry on top? Wolverine? Apostle of computer geekness? Anyone up to rescuing a beautiful young woman? wink

What the hell?

I just tried calling my doctor, a bit of history here, I've been a patient of her for more than 12 years. She's like a big sister to me, there's a friendship in between us, she gave me her freaking cell phone number, but I try to call at one of the two clinics where she has an office instead of calling her cell when it's possible.

I gave a call to clinic X 2 seconds ago, TYP's parent need a family doctor, I'll ask her to take them if she can take two new patients. It's a real PITA to find a doctor here.

Doctor X's office, how may I help you?

I would like Doctor X to call me back when she's at the office.

Are you a patient?

Yes, I'm a patient here and at Clinic Y

If you aren't only a patient here, I can't take the message!

huh??? ::::dumbfounded::::

I can't take the message because she wouldn't call you back. I'm sorry, that's the rule.

I'm sure she would call me back BUT you know what I'll do? I'll call Clinic Y and leave a message there. Surely they'll take it.

I'm sorry, that's the way it works.

Fine, have a great day then.

lol

phew!!!

My meeting with The Parish Priest (TPP) went well, took less than 10 minutes and we can go on with our four ideas/projects. ::::happy dance:::::

Gave a call to TFB in regards to our projects after meeting with TPP , I asked him if I could speak with SW and I told her how much I appreciate and like her. I think it's important to tell people we love what they mean to us. I'd send TFB an email last night and at the end, asked him to let SW know how much I appreciate her but he hadn't hadn't had a chance to check his emails so I told her myself. SW isn't using the net YET, I really wish she would because she would like it I'm sure and I would email her. mrgreen

Ok, now, I'm getting my ass back to doing what I need to do this morning. biggrin

Monday mornings are difficult

Yup, they sure are. It's just that I hate Monday mornings. mrgreen You are probably thinking to yourself Is there anything that doesn't make her bitch and moan? and the answer to this is Yes many things don't make me get my panties in a bunch. But because it's Monday morning, I feel free to be a whiny bitch.lol

This is my third cup of coffee since I arrived at The Office at 7h50 and still, it's not enough to get me going.

I'm meeting with The Parish Priest in few minutes, I've got tons of phone calls to return.

God, if you are listening, could you make sure crisis is stopped before it starts? confused

It's 19h00, guess who's already wearing her pajamas?

lol Yeah, you got that right, I am.

TFB and SW dropped me home around 14h00, I watched a bit of TV, surfed the net, cooked dinner, cleaned after myself, took a long shower and put my pajamas on. I need to straighten my hair with my super duper flat iron. mrgreenYeah, you heard that right. I've got to do that every time I wash my hair or I'll look like this. lol And honestly, I don't care for that look.

Brunch was fun, we talked, we laughed a lot. TYP left a little before 13h00 because he had a phone appointment. The three (TFB, SW and I) of us stayed at the table and talked until almost 14h00. They are great people, they are very open minded. It was great, I'd miss these great talks around good food. smile

I'm mentally getting ready for another week at work tomorrow morning. It'll be fun! (It better be, I'll make it fun) Oh, wed we are suppose to receive the finish product for The Parish. Can't wait to freaking see it!!!

SW was right, because I did what had to be done early this morning and used this morning energy to be productive, I was able to enjoy a relax afternoon! I'll try getting up early again. You were right and heaven knows I'm not a morning person.

A little test to psychoanalyze yourself

I'm usually against that type of test, but I came across this one on a message board. It was fairly accurate.

1. You are not alone. You are walking in the woods. Who is with you?
My friend TYP.

2. You are walking in the woods. You see an animal. What kind of animal?
A cat

3. What interaction takes place between you and the animal?
I speak to the cat with a sweeter voice so he's not afraid and I get to come closer and get him to know me and trust me.

4. You walk deeper in the woods. You enter a clearing, and before you is your dream house. How big is it?
It's a little house, 1 story and a basement, 3 bedroom. (not that small eh?)

5. Is your dream house surrounded by a fence?
Nope

6. You enter the house. You walk into the dining room and see the dining room table. What do you see on AND around it?
I see food on the table and my friends all sitting around the table.

7. You exit the house and a cup is on the ground, what kind is it?
A metal cup of coffee

8. What do you do with the cup?
I look at it

9. You walk to the edge of the property where you find yourself standing at the end of a body of water what kind of water is it?
It's a small river

10. How will you cross the water?
I'll take the little bridge that is a little farther away.

My answers are bolded, here's the meaning.

1. The person who you are walking in the woods with is the most important to you.

2. The size of the animal is representative of your perception of the size of your problems in your life.

3. The severity of the interaction you have with the animal is representative of how you deal with your problems.

4. The size of your dream home is representative of the size of your ambition to solve your problems.

5. A lack of a fence is indicative of an open personality. People are welcome at all times. The presence of a fence indicates a closed personality. You'd prefer people not drop by unannounced.

6. If your answer did NOT include food, flowers, a drink, or people, then you are generally unhappy.

7. The durability of the material with the cup is made of is representative of the perceived durability of your relationship.

8. What you did with the cup is representative of your attitude.

9. The size of the body of water is representative of the size of your sexual desire.

10. The way you cross the water is representative to how easy or hard you expect your life to be

Did you do the test? Were your answers accurate to your reality? smile

On the Cedrika Provencher disappearance

Here's the latest article, Quebec's premier Jean Charest met with Cedrika's family and offered his support. Nothing new as of yet, the police are still investigating.

Have you seen Cedrika?

If you have any information regarding Cedrika's disappearance call: 1-800-659-4264

It's sunday, what are you gonna do?

What are your plans? What are you going to do or not do ?

I'm not going to mass, redface I wasn't in the mood to get up early and rush in church. I'll attend mass another day.

I'm doing laundry, vacuuming and having coffee and soon enough I'll get dressed to go out. mrgreen MsDM's friend called me at 9h30 to chat a little bit and let me know she was doing better and that she was praying for me. How freaking sweet, this woman reminds me soo much of my beloved MsDM ! I'm currently listening to Yanni "The live concert event"

I hope you have a nice Sunday, tell me more about your plans.

Overheard at The Church today

I'm with visitors, the tour is ending, we are standing near a painting called "Christ of the year 2000", it was painted by a local artist. The piece is at least 10 foot by 6 foot, it's HUGE and ugly. I do not tell the visitors I think it's ugly at first. A nice man asks me about the painting; (M= Me - V= Visitor)

M= Local artist Mr X painted it and offered it to The Parish for the new millennium, it's either liked or hated here.

V= Wow Jesus looks scary, what the heck happened?
lol

::: giggling :::

M= I guess we see him with the glasses we wear, with our own impression, life or past experiences. Some people think he looks lost or psychotic.

V= I guess we can say that we see him with the mental illness we suffer from.

Me actually laughing out loud, couldn't stop myself.

V= What's next, schizophrenic Mary? lol

:::barely could breathe because I'm laughing my ass off:::

M= I guess you are right sir, we could say that.

Home at last

It's 23h27, I'm home after a long day (rushed into a quick shower). I went to The Show tonight, it was fabulous if you don't count the many historical errors. I'm glad I went to see it, I'll go back to be an active part of the touristic attractions even if I don't think this is the best show ever. I'm not going to either link it or name it because it wouldn't be fair to said show. It is a fabulous show and I totally get why people from outside of the area just adore it. I work in the business, I freaking know my history and the little details.

Oh, Administrator Friend (AF) , husband of Cute Friend (CF) with 2 boys came to give me a hand at church this afternoon. On his way to go back home, he realises that his 2 tires of the driver side of his car had been slashed, his bumper broken and they used the knife to poke into the car. What the hell? evil He was absolutely furious, upset (he had every right to be), he couldn't believe it. I called the cops for him, he told me he needed someone to help and support maybe to call The Friendly Boss (TFB), I called SW, told her what had just happened and TFB rushed at church to help AF. He couldn't believe it, he was saying to The Mom, TFB and I:
You live a good life, help out people, do volunteer work for your church and teenagers who have nothing better to do, slash your tire and do this to you. Why me? what the hell? This happens, this sucks soo bad.
cry

I had the great pleasure of having MsDM's Dear Niece (DN) visit the exposition this afternoon with her Mother-in-law (a sweet woman), her MIL's sister and a grand kid. I was very happy to see DN, they stayed for at least an hour, I toured with them with 2 tourist. They really liked it, we laughed a lot, went to church's basement, I showed them most of what I usually show visitors. Only because I can't spend an hour with each person. But DN is like family for me, her heritage is in the exposition. Her family is one of the major reason why our parish was flourishing in the past.mrgreen I had emailed her earlier this week to give her the opening hours and told her I'd be honored to have her with her MIL, it was a very great time.

I'm off to relax, I've got to get a book ready for someone about self injury, one of those days, I'll blog about this.

Have a great night! I need sleep, TFB and SW are picking me up at 11h45 AM to brunch, The Young Priest will meet us there. What better to take place on a sunday than spending good time with great people?

serial posting AKA random crap from today!

lol Overheard at the end of a pretty long visit with 2 kind person from outside of the region.

Showing them with my arms the statue up the wall, they are 15 feet up high, said statue are 5 foot by 1 and a half foot. They are BIG as in you would have to be blind not to see them. As in, if you can't see the statue, there is no point of visiting the exposition. You won't see anything.

Now, if you can see the statue, you'll see that they have the name of local roads.

Visitor (the wife) starts to giggle and says to me: I can't see them, where are they?

Me laughing my ass off, actually hysterically laughing. I'm soo sorry, I mean now if you look at the statues. I know you can see them, I'm soo sorry, I'm kind of tired.

Nah, it's totally okay, you are doing a great job. She gently pokes my arm and says that she can't see the statues.

All three of us bursted in laughter again. I was laughing to the point of tears.lol
