Cedrika Provencher has been missing for 251 days

Remember my posts in august? This one, this and that. Cedrika went missing July 31st 2007 in Trois Rivières, PQ. I haven't blogged about her in a while because it upsets me too much that they haven't found her. Nothing, nada, rien.

Missing: Cedrika Provencher
Age: 9 years old she is now 10 years old
Height: 1,52 M (5")
Weight: 31 Kg (70 pounds)
Hair: Curly, brown and reddish
She was wearing a green summer dress

If anyone knows anything. Please get in touch with the SQ.

I want to know how it's possible. I want to know WTF happened. I want to know... And yet, at the same time, I have pushed her disappearance far away from my mind because it is too fucking painful. I'm going to refrain from posting my own vibes on the family that I've seen on TV because all I want is this little girl safe at home. That's all I've been praying for...

I'm a little concerned about you, dear. This is another very sad story. I hope you aren't taking these things to heart.

Yes, it's horribly tragic that this child is missing. Yes, it's bizarre that the father and daughter are having a relationship.

All this makes me want to do is work to be the very best person I can possibly be - and pray for peace.

Which is what I will do for you!

((hug))

These kinds of things are definitely disturbing - as they should be. You feel helpless because both stories have already happened and there's nothing you can do about it. But if you do feel deeply about children who need help, you could volunteer for groups that work with kids. Every effort to help made by every individual makes as much impact in the world as every tragedy does.

Julia: Thanks a lot!

Hi, I found your blog via my web search today (April 8th) for an update on Cedrika Provencher. I'm from the States (Cincinnati, OH). I was on vacation in Canada in September 2007 & saw Cedrika's missing person posters in our hotel in Montreal (& all along the way of our travels into New Brunswick too.) Periodically, I try to get an update on her to see if she has been found. It's quite distressing that she is still missing. We had a suburban college girl go missing from suburban Indiana on a sunny day while she was bike-riding. I had the same kind of feeling. Girls, young women, old women...whatever the age...boys, men, for that matter...PEOPLE!...all people should be safe enough to live in this world without abduction & harrassment. Occassionally, these terrible stories have a happy ending. I hope that is the case for Cedrika Provencher. And I pray it is! Please post on your blog if there is ever any update, it's hard to find current info from here (I don't speak French.)
Thanks,
Erin

Erin Q: I will do that. We haven't heard anything in months. Sometimes just a "cedrika's still missing".

I agree, every human should be safe from harm.

Thanks for stopping by and I will update!
