It's Thanksgiving and we don't celebrate it here...

I'm sorry, I can't explain to you why it's not celebrated in this french part of Canada. wink The Cute Friend and AF are celebrating BUT he's an anglophone. lol So not the same thing. I am getting close to my thirties and have never celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving other than "being thankful" for stuff. mrgreen

Anyway, I did spent the day with TFB and SW, we had work to do for The Parish, we did it. Had lunch together and it was very nice. So I was in a thankful mode today, especially in the past weeks. We laughed a lot, it always feels good, whatever we all do. It's Thanksgiving and I would just like it be known that I appreciate each and every person/good things in my life. I'm thankful to be alive, happy and to be looking forward. That's it!

So I didn't get any news from Big Multinational Company because it was a holiday in here. I'm ready though, whenever they'll call. People around me are ready too, they support me 100%.

I'm trying to understand what the hell's wrong with my Beta Fish. I did almost kill it by putting a glass plate on the bowl to keep Mr. Cat from eating it. rolleyes He's kind of a killer! Doing this I kept oxygen from going it, so you imagine how healthy he was? SW said "Girl, that wasn't really wise, you were kind of killing it slowly!" wink I know Hun, I know...

Overheard in the living room 30 seconds ago: "Nope Dude, we DO NOT kill members of the family. Fishy is a member of the family as you are. WE DO NOT KILL IT! Don't go there! Nope!!! How many times am I going to repeat this? What the hell? Will he kill it while I sleep? I hope not but then again, what can I do? Mr. Cat only listens to Mr. Cat. I adore him, he's my fur baby but he's stubborn.

So that's my day, my update. How was your day? What did ya do? Have any idea on what to do with the Beta fish? confused

Local people are aggravating...

Yeah, they are. I swear, I've answered way too many stupid questions today. I 'm ashamed of the rudeness of some people. rolleyes

Would you take a dog inside a church? Now, if you're a blind person it's fine, but a fucking chiwawa. Would you? Would you ask the girl at the door? Who the hell brings their freaking dog inside? And she wasn't happy that I said "no".

Would you come inside a church and drink 4 coffees? and put your garbage inside of the little basket where the cups of milk are? The fucking garbage can isn't big enough?

Would you yell at the girl at the door step that there's no more fucking forks/spoons to eat the free cake? rolleyes

Would you touch everything and ask me if each of the freaking 100 items are free? There's a price list, each item also has a little sticker. Honestly, each of them? Give me a fucking break.

Would you argue with the girl at the door that you've seen the exposition in the years before and when she tells you that it was made This year for the Parish Anniversary, would you still say you've seen it last year?

Get ready for the next one it's fucking hysterical... Where's the exposition? It's in the vestry but you can't go now because there's baptisms going on. Her looking at me like I'm a dumbass. Baptism in a church? yeah, it's what it's for huh? I'm sorry ma'am, but yes, we do baptise babies here. smile

You are going to try to speak English? I will Sir, I speak both. You do HUH? looks at me and point the whole fucking time I'm with a visitor.

One lady yelled and cussed at me because we sold blessed items. Back in her days, blessed items were to be given, not sold. She was arguing that I should give them to her. Whatever!!!

Many parishioners came for the 8 am mass and argues with me that I was in fact mistaken, that there would be a mass at 8h00. I apologised and explained that it was announced that there wouldn't be one. That the only one was the 9h30 AM with The Bishop. Two of them whatever me and left

Please, feed your child before a baptism, or at least make them understand that harassing the girl for coffee and cake is rude. No means NO!

Whatever, don't let the door hit you where the good Lord split you!!! I didn't say it, I just thought about it.

Overheard at The Church, me to my EX EX Boyfriend. "I'm so thankful that you didn't make any babies years ago. Thank God!"

The visitors were sweet, we had more than 400 of them. They were nice, happy to be in town, happy to be welcomed. The problem were the local people. The Bishop was awesome, he introduced the mass in both french and English, chatted with visitors.

mrgreen So that's my update. I'm pissy, I am totally pissy. The local people totally aggravated me. I looked annoyed too. lol But other than that, I'm fine. I swear, I don't bite. wink

Have a great sunday!

It's only 6h00 AM and I'm getting ready to get going for 7h00 AM, I even woke up earlier than my clock alarm confused, by 5h30, I was up.

The material's ready, I have devotional and pious items here, I have the cash box, the signs, my lunch is packed. I'm taking lozenges, Kleenex and Motrin IB with me. I hope the day goes smoothly, I hope it is perfect. Anyway, there's not much I can do. At least my cruise ship partner is great and the rest of the team will be mostly there. We can handle most anything.

Local television is going to be there to film the whole mass, that too, is going to be a memorabilia.lol I wish I didn't feel congested and stuffed but whatever. mrgreen I want plenty of visitors, at least as much as our usual cruise ships days, pretty please with a cherry on top. biggrin

On a normal saturday...

Well I ran errands, went to the pharmacy, picked up some stuff to break my sore throat. The Pharmacist is awesome, she's one of the sweetest woman I know. Picked up books at the library and tripped on the fucking stairs when trying to get to my building.

Tripped and freaking hurt my knee. It was bloody and painful, I washed it with soap, put Bactroban on it and moved on. lol It was embarrassing, I had 4 bags of groceries, pharmacy things and books and tripped in front of the front door entry. rolleyes What came out of my mouth wasn't exactly a prayer altho God's name was invoked. lol I'm not going to die, I'm just a whiny baby when I'm sick.

I'm going to go in bed read my Robin Cook book, try to rest because The Tall Friend is picking me up at 7 AM. That's early for a Sunday huh?

I just remembered that The Bishop's going to be at The Church tomorrow. Oh! La La!!! He's a nice man, but celebration are long when he's there. I won't have to sit in a pew, I'll be at the door with the visitors. mrgreen Can't say it doesn't make me happy! It's the closing mass for the Parish Anniversary tomorrow. The celebrations will be done and over with. Alleluia!

Night guys!!! Hope your weekend is going smoothly! Drop me a comment to let me know how you are doing! smile

About commenting on a blog entry....

This is a Public Service Announcement (PSA), to one of my friend who read this blog. You can comment on each blog entry, even if it's anonymous, I accept it here. At the bottom of each entry, there's a little "comments", click it and it'll take you in a nano-second to a screen where you'll be able to write whatever you want. mrgreen It's because we talked about it last night.

So today, no religious debate, I did it last night and boy did it get heated. lol It's all because I'm promoting separation of church and state, not sex with goats! I know why did I mention sex with goats? Because. I. Can. mrgreen I'll get a lot of freaks who Google sex with goats end up here with Google. UGGH!!!

I need to go pick up stuff to break my cold/sore throat thingy because I want to feel better tomorrow, BIG day. So I'll leave you on that, what are you planning to do today?

A dance story

Because I was tagged by Claudia and because I'm glad to be part of a blogger circle, I'll tell you a story. I'm warning you tho, it's not going to be very interesting because I'm not a dancer. But I'll tell you a story that involves dancing. mrgreen

The Ex Boyfriend worked for the department of environment and natural resources. They were having a Christmas themed party. I'm trying to say it with a straight face but there's nothing that annoys me more than the thought of dressing up as a renaissance girl. Knights, Kings, Queens, renaissance is something absolutely unattractive to me.So, we had to lend costumes and wear these stupid things. The dress I wore was hideous, I swear, it was terrible. I also was kinda scared that these people would be boring, a bunch of bureaucrat and/officials but to my surprise 90% of them were funny, relaxed and not uptight at all. lol

Anyway, after dinner it was dancing time. I had brought with me a change of clothes (regular clothes and shoes) to dance. It's near impossible to dance wearing renaissance clothes. (IMO anyway) So I told The Ex Boyfriend that I was going to go change ( he wasn't so thrilled about it), and many people did the same, we danced, laughed and drank. His colleague thought I was funny and sweet. mrgreen

That's kind of an uneventful dance story eh? lol Sorry, I can't dance, well, I love too but don't feel confident moving my body on a dance floor in front of people. I. Am. A. little. Weirdo. lol

So I'm back from second interview...

It went really well, It lasted maybe 35 minutes?

They had questions related to their industry, asked me specific questions related to my reactions to the kind of situations that happen in the job I want at their place. It was pretty informal and not stressful as the first one. They told me they needed to discuss the interview amongst themselves and with other company related people and that I'd hear from them in the next 2 weeks. Their questions were related to consumer service, following company's guidelines, handling pressure and stress, teamwork.

I was more at peace when I left that when I arrived (I wasn't anxious, I was a little nervous that's it). smile I told them few times directly that I want the job, that I see myself work for them and that I'd be good. It couldn't have been more clear. It was a great interview.

I am proud and now that I rested, I'm back in shape. After the interview I went to TFB and SW's house for a coffee, chatted a little while but they had things to take care of so he took me home. I settle down and took a nap and boy did the short nap helped. I don't think I slept more than 30 minutes but It relaxed me, helped the pressure to go away. I tidyed up the home, fold some clothes, ate something and I'm not back in my me. mrgreen

I'm still yawning, dunno why but I'm in a good mood. I'm going to stay at home until 16h30 just in case they call. I've got an answering machine but at the moment it feels best to be at home. I'm going with friends tonight The Young Priest, The Seminarian, The Nurse and The Psych Nurse will be together, it'll be fun. Tomorrow is Saturday Guess who'll sleep in late? wink

Sunday is a big freaking day, there's going to be two cruise ships in town, it is also the closing mass of the Parish Anniversary with The Bishop! Yup, The Bishop's going to be at The Church, it's going to be long! lol TFB can't be my partner that day so The Tall Friend is joining me, we've already worked together so I know we make a great team so I know we'll have a good time.

I was tagged by Claudia for a dancing story, I'll try to find one, I'm just NOT a dancer. lol I absolutely have no experience but I'll do the memo, don't worry. mrgreen

So that's my update, I'm in a good more, still have a sore throat, I can't wait to get a phone call from Big Multinational Company. Thank you for every comment, for the thoughts, prayers, positive vibes!!!! They are appreciated.

Update before going to the second interview...

It's getting close to midnight, I got home pretty late, close to 11 PM. I'm in a good mood, thankful, ready for tomorrow morning.

I'm blessed to be surrounded by good people. I'm speechless, speechless because it's a good surprise, because when I'm overly thrilled I have no words. We discussed this afternoon me being thankful, we discussed the whole thing. Thanks for the love and support....

I'm ready for tomorrow, I only need the sore throat to go away so I'd feel 100% top shape. I want the job, I fit in the place, I will do a damn good job if I'm hired. Pray, send good vibes, positives thoughts, think of me. I need the love and the peace. Oh and thanks to my 2 angels who are just watching over me, you 2 are awesome, it's amazing.

Totally off topic, I've got a BETA fish at the cocktail I went. I hope it doesn't die. It needs a name, any idea? I thought of many weird names but can't make up my mind. Hopefully, Mr. Cat will not kill it tonight. lol TFB and SW adopted one too! lol

I'm going to bed guys!!!! Much love!!! smile

Second interview tomorrow

Can't explain more because I'm on my way out. I have an appt at 9h00 tomorrow for the 2nd interview. Oh. My god!

Will explain more later!!!!

The 5 "Me" MEME

Wow, I was tagged by The Gal Herself and it touches me that she thought of me. I hope you'll visit her, she'll already on my blogroll. (because I enjoy reading her)

THE "5 ME" MEME

List 5 things about yourself that you never have before.

1. I've spend 9 months in a foster center when I was 14 years old. And It was great, I felt safe there, I use to wish I hadn't left.

2. I'm an insomniac... I've always have trouble sleeping, for as long as I can remember. But I don't fight it anymore.

3. I believe in telling people how much they mean to me and how important they are on a daily basis. Seize the day, be thankful. Let people know you love them, how much you feel blessed to have them in your life.

4. I was a self injurer for close to 12 years. I use to cut myself daily, up until one day something happened ( February 2004) and I realised I wanted to live, I loved myself and then, things started to change. I'm not ashamed of my scars, they are part of who I AM. I don't love them but they are a mark left by the pain I was going through.

5. I'll be celebrating the 7th anniversary of my baptism in about a month. Confirmation's been 2 years.

About self injury, there's resources available online and IRL. If someone you knows SI, talk to them, do not hesitate, let them know how you feel, how you care. Someone really close to my heart bought me the "Understanding Selfinjury the Workbook" . I translated it in french for people here who have no resources. As a former cutter, I'm telling you, there's hope. People can help, people can be happy.

I'm tagging 3 people:

Nicholas
Special K Toni
Lara's Chronicles

Share the love guys. I hope you have enjoyed these 5 things about me. If you have any question ask me. mrgreen

Thirteen things I'm grateful for...

So, the topic came naturally to me after my visit to the doctor yesterday. I'm grateful for many things, let's devote my whole TT to these things...

1. I'm grateful to be healthy. I don't suffer from any life-threatening illnesses, I do have a cold that's starting but I'll overcome it. I'll bitch and moan but will overcome it.lol

2. I'm grateful to have a roof over my head and food to eat and that I support myself.

3. I'm grateful for being happy and feel good in my own skin. For so long I didn't... For so fucking long I hated my life... I now adore it.

4. I'm grateful that no one forces me to do anything I don't want to do, that I feel safe at all time. I'm grateful no one wakes me up at night crawling in my bed for whatever.

5. I'm grateful every day to see the sun shining and to breathe fresh air. Every day is a gift, every day is a miracle. I'm grateful because of the sucky things that have happened to me have helped me grow to be this person.." mrgreen

6. I'm grateful because I've got many friends that I love with my whole heart. I'm grateful because they know me, love me and because we are on a journey together, a journey called life.

7. I'm grateful because know what I'm worth and wouldn't let anyone tell me otherwise. except silly things of everyday life that we all have to follow.

8. I'm grateful to be HIV negative. That sounds pathetic huh? I almost feel I shouldn't be saying it. lol

9. I'm grateful that I never got pregnant while I was in hell. This would so have sucked, Oh my god! I love kids, I wasn't ready to have any and I'm grateful I didn't because they would have been messed up.

10. I'm grateful that I feel good saying "Yes" and "no"... I am OK to respect my need, set the boundaries as to what makes me happy or not.

11. I'm grateful I was given a second chance to start my life. The hell with the past, life's a treasure, live it, use it, feel good about cherishing it.

12. I'm grateful I was supported enough to admit to mistake I made, had the balls to face the music. and it took balls of steel and that's the understatement of the fucking century!

13. I'm grateful and thankful for the faith I have in God, to see His light, His path and follow the BIG plan.

What are you guys more grateful for? Do you love your life? Have you learned from the mistake you made? What ya think? smile

On the term "memorabilia" ...

Well very smart me used the term memorabilia when referring to the bookmarks we are having made for the closing mass of the Parish Anniversary (that we'll be offering the the people attending said celebration).

The bookmarks will be a memorabilia for the Parish Anniversary.

The Friendly Boss (TFB) stopped talking, looked and winked at me and said: "Wow, memorabilia, such an intelligent word" an another member said "Oh My God! She speaks like a big book" and Administrative Friend (AF) said "woo hoo". lol

Yeah, whatever guys!!! lol You shouldn't make fun of ME Y'all are lucky I'm not dumb as a box of rocks!!! lol

About yesterday...

I did went to see my doctor in late afternoon, it went really well. She's been my doc since, lets see, my teen years. She knows me like no one else does. She doesn't just know my body, she knows also my heart and soul. She's seen the changes over the year, she sees me fully happy today. She sees someone that she loves who went through hell and got out of it. She she is thrilled, as I am. But that'll be my TT.

I had a meeting of the PAC last night, it lived up to it's reputation. lol Let's not say more girl! lol But being a member of a committee when you aren't employed anymore by better. It also helps to let go and keep it cool. Oh and I was the only women last night with 5 men. lol

So that's my day, I need to go sign the contract with the local television channel because they'll film the closing mass and I'll be at The Church from 16h00 - 18h30.

I want to say that today is the wedding anniversary of two people I care about a lot. I wish you as many years filled with love, kindness, affection and I want you to be healthy so you can enjoy as many years as you've have today. You two are an inspiration. Lots of love and blessing coming you way. You two totally deserve them!!!

What are your plans for today guys?
