Stories from the PAC dinner..

As you guys know, we had the Parish Anniversary Committee dinner tonight... I didn't drink Well, half a glass of cheap wine but nothing more than that...

While we were having our dessert, Former Politician started a speach, a speach like he was doing at every freaking meeting. He's a good man, he's just as his name says, a former politician. Anyway, as he was talking, going nowhere, reharshing stuff that were kinda empty. I cracked the hell up, I mean I was near tears... and my laugh is very contagious and impossible to hide!!! Because of me, SW cracked up, started to laugh and because she was drinking, she choked and started to cough. It took me everything not to pee my pants laughing at the irony of what he was saying and what was really happening. Perspective's everything my friend, when you see things with pink glasses, ya can't expect people to see thing as you do.

He asked me to do a speach, he called me "the directing head of the committee" I wasn't, I was just pretty vocal about my opinions and I was also the secretary of the commitee, nothing more... I refused to do a speech, I only thanked everyone. You know it's better not to say anything that say something cruel or sarcastic. I kept my mouth shut!!!!

Anyway, I was sitting with SW, The Tall Friend and his Cute Wife, my dear friend...TFB was on SW's side and AF was on my other side. The Cute Friend stayed at home, she was sick.. The rest were members of the committee...The guy in charge of the finances was there with his wife that I love a lot. We had a nice time overall...

At the end, Young Business man, The Parish priest and The Friendly Boss started to talk business... together, it was like a meeting, we couldn't join them. But I also didn't reallly wanted to We catch up on stuff, discussed life and a Christmas project I have...I'd like us to adopt a family, like an angel tree but get together and give a family a cool christmas. I have a family in mind... We talked about it and we'll talk some more...

Good day tomorrow, it's monday, it's always crazy busy at work!!! Tomorrow night, I'm going to TFB and SWs house to finish something for The Parish... Aren't we a devoted bunch?

I need to drag my ass to bed, for god's sake, I need to be up in 5 hours.... UGGH!!!!! to my defense, today wasn't the easiest day. I need to go in bed and let go and sleep to be in good shape for my 3rd week at Big Multinational Company.

I'm soo incredibly annoyed!!!

Someone offered me the DVD to switch system to Mac OS 10.5 " Leopard", seems good huh? We are talking about me and my computer, Murphy's law says whatever sucky thing that can happen, will indeed happen. Who the hell was Murphy again?Uh no fucking way. I have booted it successfully once and my fucking computer wouldn't boot by itself. I'm trying again, I just want my old system back. I don't really need the upgrade but I'm annoyed because the project for The Parish is all on my laptop. Jeez!!!

I'm on my tower now, which is fine for accessing the net but fuck, everything is on the laptop now. I'm so fucking annoyed, I'm pissed beyond normal.

I need to take a chill pill!!! I have to say that I am not a very patient person when it comes to computer trouble shooting. I'm sure this is big news to you eh? Anyway, I'm trying again and if it doesn't work, I'm installing again the Mac OS 10.4 system from the CD's I got when I bought the laptop.

No Nonsense girl, calm down, relax!!!! Doncha hate it when things like that happen?

Single on a saturday night!!!

I'm single, it's Saturday night and I'm happily in my jammies, on the couch, watching Law and Order SVU while blogging! fuck!!! I'm boring...

I had a great day, I answered the door this morning and it was The Dutch Friend. I don't talk about her a lot because she moved away back in may. Gosh I miss her, she now lives 3 hours away, it's far. I visited this summer but hadn't seen her since. So, she was at the door, without her kids and we chatted, it was fun, it'd been a long time. I offered to eat out for late lunch which we did. Good 'ole days!!! We were together until 16h00, she had to pick up her kids and go see other friends.

So, I then cooked for the whole week to come, cleaned, worked on the project for The Tall Friend (TTF), gave SW a call or was it two? And believe it or not, went to mass. Unbelievable eh? well, I'd been to church during mass many times in the past month weeks but working and attending are two different things. Today, I actually went to take time to pray and it was good. I lite a votive candle for people I love and came back home and I've been in my jammies since then.

The Project is close to being done. TTF wanted me to search for christian music in french, and find the songs and transfer them into MP3's because we are thinking of switching to that type of music. Anyways, I have close to 300 songs, listed and that are used at The Parish. They'll stay on my laptop until we meet this coming week to finish this.

We are switching the freaking clothes tonight, which gives me one more hour to sleep BUT it will be really dark in the morning and around 17h00.

Tomorrow night, I'm going to a dinner,The Parish Anniversary committee is getting together to The favorite restaurant to celebrate the ending of the celebrations and it's a way to say "Thank you" to everyone who participated. The cool part is that members of the committee are coming with someone, so SW and TTF's wife are going to be there. Which is so cool!!!

Oh and don't worry I ain't going to be drinkin'.

I need to "myself'" time. I'll also be cooking and cleaning tomorrow. The Tall Friend asked me to do a little project for The Parish, which I'll be also doing.

13 things in or near my office at work!!!

1. Desks.... Well duh!!! On desks ya have everything needed, paper, markers, pen and pencils, post-it, etc... calculator....

2. Fax Machine... Lots of work comes from it...

3. Filing cabinet... I think there's 4 cabinet in our office...

4. Computer!!!! Again, this is major work tool!!! With all the software needed for the industry... I've put a picture of George Clooney as a screen on my PC at work. I look at this sweetie pie ALL day...

5. Ergonomic chairs!!!! An ergo therapist came to deliver me a special chair and took time to explain to me the do's and don't's of someone who has to sit ALL DAY...

6. We have safety hats (ya know grey protective hats) with our glasses.... again, this is a big DUH!!! Because BMC's installation are first and foremost an industrial plant...

7. Cute guys!!!! We are very few women for a bunch of men and some are real cute... I'm not looking for a date, I would even refuse to date a co-worker but I can still appreciate the beauty of these guys eh?

8. Fridge, microwave, water machine, coffee machine etc... well equipped to facilitate our long hours. (Fridge keeps my lunch cold)

9. A conference/lunch room for my department... There's a cafeteria for everyone but my department prefers to relax and stay in our part and I do enjoy bringing my lunch, eating with coworkers, then checking my emails or even read...It's my own hour!!!!

10. Near my office are the many offices from all the other co-workers... It's a BIG DEPARTMENT!!!!

11. I forgot to say we have phones, each of us and we get calls, work-related ALL the time, it's part of the job!!!

12. Near my desk, I have a picture of all my friends who were at THE SURPRISE last Saturday!!!

13. I also have a pot of instant coffee , numerous herbal tea boxes... There is a pot of candies, lollipops... That I try to ignore!!!!

Just a quick hello!!!

To let you know that everything's well and good. I'm not very good at updating my blog on weekdays now eh? I'm getting my butt ready to get to work, it's 6h40 something AM and I'm sitting down with Mr.MacBook!

Yesterday at work was awesome, lots of practice with REAL life people. One of our co-worker was sick, so we had to do her job and it went well. I'm telling you, it rocks!!!! I hope we'll be as busy today!!!

I'm getting myself used of getting up at 5h45 AM... which by itself is a miracle considering how much I love sleeping late...Anyway, I'll see you guys later tonight...

Don't know how to title this???

I have absolutely no creativity left at 22h00 the day after getting wasted!!!

I'm taking some pictures from yesterday to the job to hang on my wall. None of them incriminating!!!! The girls in my office have pictures of their friend and family, I'll have mine too, I need to print one of Mr.Cat and put it in a frame, ya know, he's my antisocial kid! I printed something like 40 of them at Costco, they'll be kept as memories from this nice dinner and as a reminder that when I drink, I totally give out Too Much Information (TMI)... nope I ain't gonna reveal anything I may or may not have said

Just so you guys know, I'm totally not going to get drunk at my Christmas party with the job!!! No way in hell!!! I'm going to be the nice, quiet and funny girl who's gonna remember every details of her party... I don't get drunk when I'm not with people I totally trust because I'd be way too vulnerable and if you knew me, you'd know I'm a control freak I always try to be in control of my life and not being at the anyone's mercy.

Well, I mean that I let myself be vulnerable when there's real trust that's when I let go of the barriers. I'm a very happy-go-lucky type of person BUT I only open my heart and soul to those I trust and I'm very selective. Whatever, it's a privilege to be on my list!!!

What type of person are you? Do you trust easily? Do we know anyone who likes to be at the mercy of freaking everybody? I don't think it would be a sane thing... But I'm not a freaking shrink, I only say it as I see it! My 2 cents worth!!!!

Everything's ready for my week, I am very excited to start the 2nd week there, I love challenges and I'm a fighter... I've got one and a half more week with my trainer, she'll leaving in vacation next Thursday and I've got to be able to take the lead and you know what? I'll take it... There's no worries or doubts or insecurities in regards to this... Fuck, I'm confident eh?

Tales from the girl who got drunk last night...

And we can say that I was really drunk. My friends got together to celebrate the end of my contract at The Parish and my new job at Big Multinational Company. Soo many people that I love were there, you know when the best of the best get together? The dinner and party was at TFB and SW's house who btw wasn't trashed by drunk girl. except the speaker I kicked by accident downstairs who also bumped the freaking wall

We ate fondue with lots of side dish, drank good beer, wine and Porto... The evening was amazing and I was very happy. We laughed our ass off, talked about my blog and the things I would say or not say today. We commented on people's nickname. The Tall Friend doesn't think his nickname is original, I could have put more thoughts in finding one. TFB was hysterical when I told him how I had named "Annoying Liturgy Lady".... I was like "What, don't ya think the name fits her?"

I'm very happy about the party, our hostess is the best... Gosh, I love these people...

On another note, let it be known that Mr.Cat didn't sleep with me last night...I got up at 6h20 ish, the walls were kinda spinning... I realise I was naked, I got to the bathroom, washed my face because I was still wearing makeup, brushed my teeth, got stuff out of the bed and started to call Mr.Cat "where the hell are you Mr.Cat??? Aren't you going to sleep with mommy?" I could hear him think "if you think I'm gonna sleep with you when yer drunk and naked, forget it"

Anyway, he eventually came and cuddled, we slept until 9h20 ish... I made coffee, put jammies on (before making coffee) , called TFB to let him know I was alive and well... Told him he now knows the reason why I don't go to bars to party, it's because I'm such a happy drunk and I'm lovey and would end up waking up with some strange dude the next day not that I've ever done it ....

Anyway, I got a beautiful card, a frame with an amazing text from Passionate One ( she's an amazing writer) and they bought me a router. But the best thing in my eyes was to be with them, have fun with them and have them in my life. That's the gift, having amazing people in our life is what makes the difference don't you think?

TFB, SW, their daughter and I are going for late breakfast around noon. They'll be picking me up... But luckily, I'm not drunk this morning!!!!
