French-canadian visiting florida

during winter are to Quebecers what Americans who appear on Jerry Springer are to regular Americans. lol Not representative at all.

That's how I explained to a group of people from Florida this afternoon how pre-conceived idea taint our views when we aren't aware of a culture. They were really nice, all of them. But it is true, what we *see* on TV or our exchange with a different culture do NOT mean that all of it's population is in fact like that. Do Americans feel they are greatly represented by by their citizen appearing on Jerry Springer? I hope to God you don't think so. lol

Can you believe I'm still posting? rolleyes Well, it's not 18h30 Yet and I'm in my jammies because I wear pajamas to sleep we had a strange conversation about sleeping habits. I do prefer to sleep with a man who wear a pajama to sleep. I'm not a nekkid type of girl when SLEEPING. I know Too freaking Much Information girl, TMI! mrgreen

People from the Sacred Heart Parish, I love you. Your visit was fun, I'll remember all of you.

oh dear visitors from the cruise ship...

You guys were awesome, the day was fantastic, ALL of you blew me by your kindness, intelligence and desire to interact. Thanks for the laughs, the giggles, the conversations.

I'm pooped but Oh, so happy! TFB liked the day also.

It's a post and run, I just ate some leftovers, I'll run in the showers and go to bed. I'm just exhausted. I'm sure the next stop will be great in Quebec city.

From my french-Canadian heart to yours!!! Thanks a million of times!

About Cedrika Provencher

Martin Provencher, Cedrika's father appeared on the Radio Canada show "Tout le monde en parle" tonight. She's still missing, nothing new was released but he's hoping. I'm hoping, I think the population of the whole province hopes to find her alive.

She's been missing for 47 days cry. Anyway, if you have any information concerning the disappearance, contact the police at 1-800-659-4264.

You and yours are in my thoughts and prayers Cedrika.

Edited to say that I tried to put the slideshow made by Cedrika's father but it slowed down my whole blog. So instead, I'm putting pictures I've used before. And I'm adding the link to Cedrika Provencher official website it's http://cedrikaprovencher.com/

Eventless weekend

mrgreen yeah, mostly an eventless weekend. I hang with a friend on Friday for dinner, went to bed really early that night. Slept in late Saturday ( 12 PM like), went shopping with TYP, to mass in the evening and today went for brunch at The Restaurant with a friend, her infant daughter and one of her son. TFB and SW will be back in town tonight, they went on a short trip.

Our usual waiter was there, this young guy (he's my age like) is a sweetheart.smile When it was time to order he said "Same thing as usual? 2 eggs, sausage, bacon, white bread?" I said "yup, you sure know me". mrgreen

Tomorrow will be a big day at The Church, we are going to have cruise ship visitors in town for the second time this year. smile The first day was awesome, I'm pretty sure tomorrow will be as good. I love the visitors, they are a breath of fresh air. My partner for these days will be there.

So that's it, I'm just going to relax for the rest of the day, watch TV, surf on the net and read. What will you be doing? How was your weekend?

Are you related to Paul Davis?

lol This has been our running gag at the office. This summer The Parish hired a secretary for a maternity leave replacement. The new girl is adorable, she's sweet, nice and fun to work with. She's my coffee buddy!

This summer, a man calls and has her prepare a certificate of baptism. Fine thing, his name is X Davis. She tells me "I wonder if he's related to Paul Davis, confused Who knows.... When he comes to pick up his certificate, silly me says

"I was wondering something, are you related to Paul Davis?" He looks at me like I've got 3 heads and 7 arms and says "Paul Davis was a Gagnon"lol

My coffee buddy was hysterical in the vaulting room, she was laughing her ass off because I asked the guy.

redface I didn't know, I wasn't born in Paul Davis's days. lol So since the incident, this is a running gag, she calls me "Miss Davis", she passes calls to my office saying it's Mr Davis, anyway, we laugh a lot because of my "dumb" question. mrgreen Yesterday, my coffee buddy tells me that she *knew* Paul Davis wasn't a Davis but he was a Gagnon but that she had a brain fart. lol

Do you have running gag at your office? Please, tell me some ! mrgreen

It's a long story...

and it's kinda embarrassing but the freak (who is BTW member of the massage therapist order) to whom I gave money to give me a massage on my birthday massaged my breasts. eek

I'm laying on my back, on the table, she's been giving me a massage for over an hour, she takes the sheet off my front, and starts to massage my breasts

Er I'm NOT okay with this, what are you doing? What the fuck???? I took the sheet back, covered myself and sat down.

Her: I wanted to do a special technique

You should have asked before touching my breasts

She apologize and explain that when she moved in the region 2 years ago, her associate told her that in this area, breasts, ass and belly were taboo and that it was unprofessional for a massage therapist to touch these places without asking first.

The freaks explains to me that she doesn't think she should ask because to her this is natural, she doesn't feel she should ask permission. rolleyes

rolleyes Well, you know, If you had asked, I would have said "no thanks", not a big deal. But this is ridiculous.

Her: I've massaged the breasts with that technique of at least 100 women and none of them complained.

rolleyes I'm sure none of them came back huh?

I'm not a prude and I've lived before but this was a flabbergasting experience. The freak just did not get it. Anyway, fast forward to Saturday afternoon at the church. She comes back to say hello. when she leaves, I tell TFB exactly what happened the day before. He soo funny says:

lol Not only did you had an homosexual experience with her but she's got a crush on you now huh?

You are so funny TFB!!! STFU!!!! :::sarcastically and jokingly said:::

TFB has no issue with homosexuality, he was totally joking me around and we did laugh a lot. But honestly, what the fuck was up with her? Do you think this was off limits? Do I need to say that I won't ever go back to her?

Oh so boring...

I would have at least 50 stories to tell but I'm super busy and exhausted when I get home, the only thing I wanted to do last night was to crawl in bed.

Guess who went to bed at 20h00 last night? Yeah, I did. rolleyes

And guess who got up at 3h30 this morning and wasn't able to fall back asleep? Yeah, you got it right. lol

I spoke with my pharmacist yesterday and with her advice, decided to take Lenoctal again and see if I'd get hives. I took it at 18h30- 19h00 last night and nothing to report. No hives, nothing. I'm kinda scared. confused lol I wish I could get to sleep and wake up Friday at 16h00, can it be? Can it be? razz

So this is what life is all about...

Simple pleasures, being content, happy and at peace. I have to warn you, this is a long entry.

After the super day yesterday my mood this morning was just great. I got up (I have to admit, it was kinda hard to get away from the heat of my blankets), fixed myself 2 cups of coffee, got dressed, put makeup on, called TYP and walked to The Restaurant to have breakfast with TFB and SW. (We had invited TYP to join us but he went hiking with a friend) On and just so you get an estimate of the amount of time I need before before I'm looking human enough to meet with other humans, I got up at 10h20 and left at 11h30. lol This is the usual amount of time I need every morning. lol

Food was good, company was good, we talked, laughed, it was simply fun. The feelings from yesterday (joy, peace, happiness, feeling you are at the right place) were still present...

Overheard yesterday at SW's house during the evening while being in the living room..

Me: Hey SW, my friend needs a fake tree like yours, where did you buy it?

SW: Huh...NoNonsense girl, It's actually not a fake tree, it's a real one. lol

Me: Giggles hysterically I'm soo sorry, it's beautiful, I uh :::giggles::: I thought he was fake. duh!!! :::puts foot into mouth:::: lollollol I love your tree, it's gorgeous, I just thought he was fake.

SW: lol

The others are all laughing ....lol

We had so much fun talking about brain farts, just to write the word makes me laugh back. I had a couple of brain fart yesterday, like I couldn't remember how we called carpet in English (in french it's called tapis), I was with 6 visitors and referred to carpet without the correct word because I couldn't remember it.

Me telling the visitors : I'm sorry, I'm having a brain fart, I just don't remember the word I'm looking for.

Them: Ha Ha Ha Ha , she's having a brain fart!!! Ha Ha HA lol lol lol

SW had couple of them and I was telling her that in English there's an expression for the "duh moment" called "brain fart", that made us giggle.

Yeah, we were tired, yeah, we were silly. But after being at work for 10 hours straight, not a moment to sit, we were entitled to be silly. mrgreen

So after having late breakfast, they drove me to the cemetery because it was the catholic cemetery's annual celebration. MsDM's was buried at that cemetery in July so I went and I cried. I miss her. But I'm fine now. smile My whole house is clean, I'm happy, relaxed and I'm also taking the day off tomorrow, I want to go shopping because I got a gift card for my birthday. A Reitmans's giftcard. mrgreen
