Today's slice of life is about "letting go"!

Yeah, I'm making the most of my online time. mrgreen So here's a lot of information about letting go. Lemme know if it was useful, what you think, how you see the act of letting go!mrgreen

Letting go takes love, for ourselves. It takes time and most important, it takes patience.

From this link:

"What is Letting Go?"

To "let go" does not mean to stop caring. It means I can't do it for someone else.

To "let go" is not to cut myself off. It's the realization that I can't control another.

To "let go" is to admit powerlessness, which means the outcome is not in my hands.

To "let go" is not to try to change or blame another. It's to make the most of myself.

To "let go" is not to care for, but to care about.

To "let go" is not to fix, but to be supportive.

To "let go" is not to judge, but to allow another to be a human being.

To "let go" is not to be in the middle, arranging all the outcomes, but to allow others to affect their own destinies.

To "let go" is not to deny, but to accept.

To "let go" is not to nag, scold, or argue, but instead to search out my own shortcomings and correct them.

To "let go" is not to adjust everything to my desires, but to take each day as it comes and cherish myself in it.

To "let go" is not to regret the past, but to grow and live for the future.

To "let go" is to fear less and to love more.

I use to believe this 100% "I should be in control of everything that is important in my life."

Unfortunately you are powerless to control most people, places, and things in your life since you can only be fully in control of your internal locus of control and your own thoughts, emotions, and actions.

I now understand and accept this: My Internal Locus of Control:

Internal locus of control is giving yourself the power to influence your feelings about yourself.

Internal locus of control places self-approval, self-recognition, self-acceptance, self-reinforcement, and self-affirmation of worth into your own hands. In this way it is only up to you and your own efforts at self-love and care to feel worthwhile, valuable, competent, skillful, creative, knowledgeable, and capable of living your life for yourself and not controlled by others. You are then fully responsible for your own thinking, emotions, and actions in life.

Are you good at letting go? Are you able to let go when you are preoccupied? Letting go and doing 100% of what we can do is the key IMO... I remind myself daily to "Let go and Let God" mrgreen Letting go is accepting that I can't control everything... and it is true... It's not always a fun realisation but it's freaking life!!!! I control only what is really up to me. Do my best in everything, while remember what I can and what I can't do. What's on my shoulder and what shouldn't be... mrgreen

Good God guys? Are you following me? Comments, insults, questions!!!! confused

Thoughts on freedom and random stuff!

I was talking with a friend of mine on the phone when I got home from work I actually ate while on the phone... We were talking about freedom among other things. The freedom to be ourselves, the freedom of knowing who we are and knowing
what we want, what we are worth, what are deal breakers in our life.

Why do some people sell themselves short to others? Why are some people insecure to the point of staying in bad relationship? I'm talking about people around us who have been through a lot and didn't understand the lesson, didn't learn from their mistakes and keep on selling themselves short to others.

I would like to have someone in my life but not at any cost. No fucking way!!! My intimacy, my boundaries are important. I will never put someone else ahead of me, I did it, wasn't worth it. lemme tell you, it was a real disaster...

So, have you learned to respect and love yourself? Would you compromise yourself for some love or companionship? Are you willing to let someone walk all over you? I am not and I think it's a damn good thing. My freedom matters more than anything...My freedom of being myself, of being happy, of doing whatever the hell I want... smile

Life's not an easy road but it's a damn fine one. mrgreen On this, I had a great day at work, things were good, I hate Mondays because it's hard to get back in "working" mood after 2 days off but I survived. I always do.

I got very aggravated at the hair salon company that sold my hairdresser a flat iron this fall. The Piece Of Shit has never been working good, yesterday, it broke...confused I called my hair dresser this afternoon (she was sorry), she'll take it back next Monday and the company people will look at it and decide if it's my fault. I don't want an exchange, it is under warranty. I want the piece of shit gone and my money back. Hairdresser said they wouldn't reimburse and it would be long. I told her not to worry, I'll bring it back to her this week but meanwhile, I got a new one, a Gama one. It works great and it's going to give me what I want. If the hair salon company exchanges my old one for a new one, I'll take it and sell it. The POS was 80$, they didn't give it to me. So the new one cost over 130$ but at least it is working and if anything's wrong, I can deal with the store people directly. The hair salon doesn't deal with clients, they deal with hairdressers only.

WTF??? If I treated my clients like this company treated me, Big Multinational Company would fire me right away! They wouldn't keep someone who pisses off clients who pay for a product. Believe me, I won't even try it. The client is always right, even if he's wrong, he's right! Anyone who work for a in the public knows this and even more in a corporate environment, especially there.

Anyway, Miss No Nonsense girl, semi addicted to the computer said TFB on the phone tonight, he said he was joking , I'm not addicted but I do love the computer and Internet a whole freaking lot. mrgreen He's right on this!!! Anyway, I'm tired, I'm sleepy!!! I need to rest!!!

If any of you guys want to share about freedom and stuff, it'd be interesting!!!

PS: Sorry for the rambling thoughts...lol If you lived with me, it'd be worse! wink

Good stuff eh?

As you guys know, life's been treating me good. I couldn't wish for a better life, I've got great friends, a good job, I love myself, I'm at peace with the past, I enjoy everything. Life's just good.

I do lack time tho, the weekdays are long and I have only enough for me. It's a routine of getting up, working, coming home and getting ready for the next day, sleeping, then going back to work.mrgreen Except the nights I have plans. well duh!!!!

Last week I had a meeting with the church council, I take the notes, the secretary but it's actually just the note taker. Many of my friends are members of the council and I was asked "officially" this past week to join them and get elected at the parishioners meeting the first Sunday of December. I said yes, I wasn't sure at first because you know I'm very blunt and I dunno, I'd be happy to be a member and also the only woman of the council. wink These guys are great, most of them are my friends. I was touched and honoured by the request.

Anyway, I got the flu shot on Wednesday night, it was a pain in the ass to get an appointment, but I wanted to get it because I get sick easily, I've been getting the shot for the past 6 years I think and I wanted it. smile Anyone else getting the flu shot? It did kick my butt the next day, I felt like shit but I'm all better now.

So the week at work was great, busy, crazy busy but good. I would have tons of stories to tell you, I wish I could. But as of now, y'all can call me the B-Train girl. lol I should change my nickname to this. wink

Today, I got up a little before 10 am, which was surprising, cuz you know, I like to sleep late, I drank good coffee, worked on a document for the parish that The Friendly Boss (TFB) and I have been working on for 2 days. I wrote it, emailed it to him, he corrected it and I read his corrections this morning, added new stuff. We're a good team!!! So I did this, cleaned and did a bit of shredding of old papers. I had 2 boxes of old papers and TFB lend me his shredder to get rid of it I went with a friend to Bigger Town and we shopped. I needed many things at Walmart, went to my favorite store, dollar store, pharmacy and we went to mass at 16h00. mrgreen AF's son was doing his first holy communion and it was a great celebration.

Did I say we had our first snow storm yesterday? And that it went on for the whole freaking day today also? It's over now but it's cold. YUCK!!!!!

So I cooked this evening a bit, I need to finish tomorrow. My house is clean, I'm sitting in my new jammies from my favorite store. They are so comfy, good god!!!! I'm just good, on my couch, with the TV on while I blog. How can life be better that this? confused

How was your week? How's life been treating you? smile

2. Do you love me?

"I wish I did, I just can't let go and love you. I have tried, I just can't seem to fall in love with you"....

3. Was it good for you?

"
I enjoyed it as much as a visit to the dentist. You couldn't tell huh????"

4. You are such a good kisser!!!

"Well big news for you, you don't! You are irritating my face with your freaking tongue. Keep that damn thing inside your mouth. You are NOT a puppie."

5. Are you going to vote for me?

"In your dreams dude, when hell freezes over!!!!"

6. Things will never change, life sucks, life's a bitch!

"Good grief, wonder why eh? With an attitude like that, no doubts life can be difficult...."

7. Can you do this?

"I can but the question is, are YOU gonna pay me?"

8. Do you love your church?

"Yeah, I love God, converted my life to him. It's the freaking Vatican I have issue with. "

9. What do you think of this?

"You don't want to know, I swear, you will regret asking me..."

10. How did you get through this?

"Dude, I survived and moved on because I don't spend time dwelling on things like this. There is no easy answer. It is called resillience, deal with it. Some people are stronger than others I guess eh?"

11. What would you do for a millions bucks???

"Dude, what wouldn't I do???" lol

very fast thoughts on a late tuesday...

Jeez, I'm leaving you all with many guesses about what I'll be writing about eh? lol

Nah, I was at a meeting for The Parish until almost 23h00, I can't say I'm really tired because I'm not sleepy yet..... What the hell? I got up at 5h45 and it's passed 23h00, I'm drained but don't feel it really and not sleepy... I am weird!!! mrgreen TFB and The Retiree made joking references to The Party during the meeting! The Tall Friend laughed with them and I blushed. The rest of the people had no clue what the inside joke was about.lol

I was able to get an appointment to get my flu shot tomorrow evening at the clinic. Thank God!!!! mrgreen

I was thinking of doing "13 things I've never said out loud"for tomorrow TT's. That would be a good idea...

Doncha think? It could be life changing for some to hear these. wink lol

On the movie "License to wed"...

I saw the movie last night, what can I say. I can only assure you that the marriage preparation classes here aren't like that. lol Good grief, the reverend is a weirdo and for those who saw the movie, when I saw his assistant, I giggled, told TYP "Dude, that's Annoying Liturgy Lady in the body of a child" lol. Anyone saw it? Did ya like it? It is not an amazing film, but it's a cute, empty comedy. If that makes sense.

I had a quiet weekend and I appreciated it. Friday worked on the musical project for The Parish, satyrday slept in late, cooked and cleaned, got dressed only at 16h00, had dinner with TYP, we watched the movie and played cards. Today, I didn't go out at all, watched a couple of episode of "What not to wear" on the internet, relaxed, I did sleep late also and now I'm just chillin'. This is going to be a crazy busy week at work, so I have got to be in top shape. mrgreen

I'm inviting you to go read Nicholas's post on Buck naked politics.

On this guys, I wish you a great sunday evening and a wonderful week...

Oh my God 20/20 Camden, NJ: Have a little faith

I'm watching Diane Sawyer's show on Camden, NJ. This is the first time I watch anything on this specific topic. It is soo fucking sad. I am in tears, it's crazy... What the hell? These poor kids and poor families. Life can be soo fucking unfair. cry These people are amazing, they have lots of hope and faith. which is so important. All of these people will be in my prayers.

I'm soo blessed, it's unbelievable... You know the weird thing? It takes me a lot to cry "for me", but good god, this is just soo sad. The little boy "Ivan" just was the most precious little boy in the world...

Has anyone seen it? Is anyone watching right now? Am I alone to cry? I sure hope not....

On another topic, I'm working on the musical project for The Parish, after meeting with TTF tonight, I've got a lot of work to do this weekend. and I'm happy to do this for my church.

I won't be as boring this weekend...

Hopefully for me eh? lol Anyway, I am well, I need many things you guys can't give me... I need hugs I need to get la..I barely have energy for someone else but at the same time I'd like to cuddle with someone else than Mr.Cat at night...

But for real, I am not emotionnaly available for anyone than Mr.Cat full time. I can't see myself getting home to a lot. I need things to run easy at night, I need things to be easy and not complicated. It's just weird, I wish to have someone to hold me and cuddle me, I'm not talking about sex. But at the same time I'm happy for my celibacy. It's a fucking paradox eh? mrgreen

Anyone know what the hell is wrong with my spelling check function? it's not working? confused I click and nothing happens. WTF???

Anyway, TGIF!!!! I'm going to work on the project for The Parish tomorrow night... Anyway, that's my boring rambling... lol I'm taking my butt to bed!!!! mrgreen
