This is a new thing, second year, we are starting to build a pier so the visitors won't have to use tenders, they'll just get off directly from the cruise ship to the "bigger pier". It's a big investment for a region but worth it IMO.

I know what you mean about meeting new people with different language, culture, it is a breath of fresh air for anyone to meet people.(and I have to say, it is refreshing comparing to our parishionners) ;)

I can't wait for thursday to see your mom's art. :) This is going to be an awesome TT.

My town is not a big town, and I think having the cruise ship in town will help people to be more open-minded. (If that makes sense)

Have a great week!!! Thanks for stopping by!Addicted to crafting https://www.blogger.com/profile/01940862289214782332noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2363442538822503796.post-60771744364223761522007-09-16T21:05:00.000-04:002007-09-16T21:05:00.000-04:00Having the cruise ship visitors attend your church...Having the cruise ship visitors attend your church must be really fun. We get cruise ships in Halifax, and I really enjoy seeing all the different faces and hearing all the different languages being spoken. I'm from Halifax but spent 13 years in Toronto, and one of things I love best about big cities is the vibrant mix of cultures. Halifax is still pretty small as cities go but it's feeling more and more multicultural all the time.

I spent the entire weekend getting my mom's art ready for its debut on my blog this Thursday. First we spent a day figuring out which ones to include. Today we spent the day photographing them. We had a ton of fun!Julia Phillips Smithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15392455413201190775noreply@blogger.com
